New Features

  • Added the Codex Materia, used to look up good distillation sources of any materia type. Get it by summoning the Wandering Wizard and then right clicking her with a Codex Arcana to exchange books.
  • Distillation and Fabrication now support fluids.
  • Wisdom Stones now have a dedicated curio slot and can no longer be directly inserted into machines. Instead, when you open up a GCoF or a Nexus your stone will be copied into the device's Wisdom slot. Wisdom Stones in the Wisdom curio slot are never dropped on death.
  • Wisdom Stones can now be used to globally boost all of your MnA spells. Right click the Stone or hit the Wisdom keybind (default numpad -) when the Stone is in your Wisdom curio slot to start boosting your modifiers! There's a second keybind (default numpad +) to quickly toggle your Wisdom bonuses on and off. Active Wisdom boosts will display a small icon near your magic level on your MnA mana bar.
  • Added the Skywrath Condenser, a T3 device that removes your dependence on Thunderstones to operate Skywrath Altars.
  • Added the Proto-Acutator, a T2 actuator that consumes a small amount of FE to boost Efficiency, Operation Time, and reduce Grime buildup all by a little bit each.
  • Overhauled elemental actuator power settings. Now there are only three settings, and the maximum setting you can put your actuators to is tier-restricted.
  • Added alchemical ore processing. Melt your raw ores into Liquefacted Metal fluid in an Acid Basin, distill the resulting fluid into materia, and then fabricate ingots. At 85% distillation efficiency this results in 5x output.
  • Added Ensorcelled Soils and Ensorcelled Fertilizer, used to cultivate MnA flowers.
  • Added Admixture of Radiation for upcoming community-driven mod compat. Nothing in base MnA or MagiChem uses it.
  • Acid Basin now has gauges on the sides of the main and output tanks to give you an idea of how full they are without needing to climb on top of the device and look down. A victory for lab safety.
  • MagiChem now has built in compatibility with Farmer's Delight (thanks Gushko!).
  • Hexerei and Farmer's Delight milk bottles now interact with Brimming Urns directly.
  • Circle of Power reagents can now be configured to be in "Eternal Mode". A reagent in Eternal Mode burns forever and does not require reprocessing. The third and fourth reagents are in Eternal Mode by default, players who really enjoy automation challenges can disable this to restore the complex reprocessing chains for these two reagents.
  • The Astral Observer has been overhauled to be more friendly to use on a server. The device now has a GUI and requires a lens that will determine behavior (the old way but faster, blocking all but a particular type of lumin, and generating a particular type of lumin regardless of the time of day). The latter two types of lens slow the device down and require repair every so often.
  • Added Perfected Electrum and Alchemical Waste blocks. Perfected Electrum can be created in block form directly.
  • Added the Disintegration Pyre, a device that uses Admixture of Destruction to damage items down to a chosen percentage of its maximum durability. Used alongside ledgers in match durability mode to make it easier to set up repair-based construct automation.
  • Circle of Power now generates two separate FE pools. The Alchemical FE pool is only accessed by a Power Spike inserting into a MagiChem device, while the Auxiliary FE pool is used by everything else. Now you don't have to choose between powering your lab and using any other FE stuff from other mods.
  • Added a command to reset a player's Orrery placement limit if you need to fix a "phantom" placement or want to cheat and place more than one.

Tweaks

  • The Charging Talisman is now T2 and when worn in a curio slot will attempt to charge items in the main hand, off hand, and armor slots.
  • Acid Basin and Coloring Cauldron now have a progress bar like the Runeforge's.
  • Added a cosmetic Hat slot. Most notably, this means you can wear a MnA construct hat without using up the actual head slot.
  • Right clicking a large stack of items onto a Skywrath Altar will now only insert as many items as the recipe requires.
  • Advanced materia-handling constructs no longer require a fluid nozzle. This should free them up to be a bit more multi-purpose.
  • Increased the manual break time of all mid and high end devices blocks.
  • Prismatic Conduits now cast light.
  • Earth Affinity now grants a silk touch effect to constructs doing the Harvest Crystals task.
  • Nexus settings panel and recipe panel now dims and displays a tooltip while you're not allowed to change settings.
  • Materia Manifest now clears its tracking line if an incidental search fails to find the held materia type.
  • Improved several codex entries and non-recipe info JEI panels.
  • Animus spells emulate using Animus Dust on a Centrifuge or Fusery.
  • Circle of Toil now generates FE based on the part composition and affinity of the inserted construct. Spin-up time has been eliminated.
  • Moved the alembic passive heat sources tag into the "magichem" namespace.
  • Vitriolation recipes to create verdigris now return liquefacted copper.
  • MagiChem steam is now part of the Forge steam tag.
  • Budding Signalite is now part of the Forge budding tag.
  • Selenite is now part of the tag that allows constructs to collect it with the Harvest Crystals task.
  • Magic Mirrors now display text describing their current linkage while looked at.
  • Labyrinthine Navigators plugged into a Grand Fusery now respect the batch size settings of a Gale Pressurizer.
  • Eldrin power usage of all elemental actuators reduced drastically (maximum power setting used to consume 100 per cycle, down to 16 per cycle).
  • Default speed of Coloring Cauldron and Variegator drastically increased. This will require regenerating configs on existing worlds.
  • Reduced the base FE consumption of the Grand Circle of Fabrication. This means that a one-reagent Circle of Power can support a GCoF and two Proto Actuators.
  • Reduced the materia cost on Wisdom Stones, Nexus elemental motes, Perfected Electrum, and Occult Ritual Talismans.
  • A large number of other recipe changes.

Bug Fixes

  • Inventory-opening keys will no longer unexpectedly close MagiChem GUIs that contain a search bar.
  • Abjurations purge offhand items as described in the codex.
  • Pausing a Sublimation craft at a certain point should no longer make the Nexus skip materia consumption.
  • House of Alchemy materia should sort in the correct order on the Materia Manifest and Mirror Labyrinth.
  • Set Device Recipe construct task is functional again.
  • Thunderstones are now limited to only activating up to 4 Skywrath Altars.
  • Creative players should no longer consume charges on any type of Abjuration.
  • Wither Rose fabrication recipe no longer relies on a missing advancement.
  • Actuators cannot be plugged into multiple devices at the same time anymore.
  • Power Spikes now take the target's facing into account. This should fix their inability to insert into Mekanism machines.
  • Fixed a materia dupe when using jar quads.
  • Nexus now respects the speed setting on a Labyrinthine Navigator.
  • Placing an FE-consuming MagiChem device next to existing Mekanism power infrastructure no longer crashes the game.
  • Labyrinthine Navigators no longer provide and export materia while redstone paused.
  • Fixed a couple item slots being one pixel off in GUIs.
  • Advancement data now syncs properly for JEI panels with a required or forbidden advancement (thanks YukkuriC!)
  • Removing materia from a processing device by shift clicking no longer consumes a debug orb in the bottle slot (thanks YukkuriC!)
  • GUI searches should work for Chinese pinyin searches now (thanks YukkuriC!)
