New Features
- Added the first four stages of the Magnum Opus: Creating the Philosopher's Stone. Each stage results in a Wisdom Stone that can be used to expand the number of recipes available on the Grand Alchemical Nexus and the Circle of Fabrication. Wisdom Stones will also boost your spellcasting power in a later update. Please note that the final two phases (the Flushed Wisdom Stone and the Philosopher's Stone itself) are not yet craftable.
- Added Fulmination, a new alchemical process available at Tier 1. Transform items by causing a lightning strike while the item is sitting on a Skywrath Altar.
- Added Vitriolation, a new alchemical process available at Tier 2. Soak things in acids (or occasionally in other, specific fluids) to create new items, fluids, or both in a new device called an Acid Basin.
- Added Illumination, a new alchemical process available at Tier 3. Infuse items with Sunlight, Moonlight, or Starlight while on an Astral Observer to transform them.
- Added the Eldrin Orrery, a powerful passive Eldrin Power generator available at Tier 4. The Orrery's output is boosted by any captured wellsprings and can optionally be given fuel items created with Illumination to significantly boost its base generation rate and/or two types of materia to boost your wellspring multipliers. Each player is limited to only placing one Orrery; if its output isn't good enough for your Eldrin power needs, you'll still need to rely on automating Fume Filters.
- Added the Skywrath Altar, a simple T1 device that performs Fulmination recipes when struck by lightning (most often triggered with a Thunderstone).
- Added the Acid Basin, a T2 device used to perform Vitriolation recipes.
- Added the Astral Observer, a late-T3-early-T4 device used to perform Illumination recipes. Requires a Bleached Wisdom Stone to create.
- Fabrication and Sublimation recipes now support gating by Wisdom Stone level and by requiring or forbidding an advancement. Several recipes have been updated to take advantage of this system; for example, players can craft ONE MnA relic per playthrough.
- Certain recipes on the Circle of Fabrication and Grand Circle of Fabrication now have a batch size option. Reducing the batch size of a craft linearly reduces its crafting time (EG: If the max batch size is 16, reducing it to 4 will reduce the craft time by 75%).
- Added several new Admixtures: Acid, Adornment, Depths, Firmament, Forests, Gourmet, Hells, Monster, Mountains, Plains, Satiety, Swamps, Wastes, Wood
- Admixture of Color is no longer bright orange. Now it shifts through a wide spectrum of colors instead.
- Added a series of Acids of ascending strength for use with Vitriolation. Acid blocks placed in world or acids sprayed by a construct will apply a powerful debuff that causes damage and reduces Armor. A new Acid Ward cantrip can protect you from being injured by acids (the protection scales with tier). There are five acids in the mod, but only the first three (Simple Acid, Aqua Fortis, and Aqua Regia) are currently craftable.
- Added new Litanies to upgrade construct legs.
- You can now Fulminate construct Heads, Torsos, and Legs to downgrade them to Basic parts.
- Added an Is Item Distillable and Item Has Lumins (for use in automating Illumination recipes) construct conditions.
- Circles of Fabrication and the Alchemical Nexus now have a recipe cancel button that will clear the recipe after the current craft completes.
- Added Verdigris, a new material occasionally obtainable by scraping weathered/exposed/oxidized copper or by Vitriolating weathered/exposed/oxidized copper.
- Added the Slumbering Idol. When used, this totem kills all phantoms within a very large radius (dropping no experience or items) and resets your sleep timer as though you used a bed.
- Added the Radiant Rose, an un-cursed Wither Rose that protects you from negative status effects for a short time when touched.
- Added Abjurations, multi-use items that remove curses. Three varieties (one to remove cursed enchants, one to instantly heal zombie villagers, and one to create the Radiant Rose) exist.
- Added the Selenolabe, a small device that outputs a redstone signal based on the current moon phase.
- Added Horoscopes, consumable items created on the Astral Observer with very potent effects.
- Added Prophecies, magical effects caused by anointing a Gnostic Orb wtih 50 of a particular type of materia and waiting until the appointed hour. There are currently 8 types of Prophecies, more will be added in the future.
- Added three magical wines of increasing power (and increasingly bad side effects) that can be created in the Acid Basin.
- Added a large number of intermediate crafting items used in the Magnum Opus process.
- MagiChem now has both Traditional and Simplified Chinese language support.

Tweaks & Balance Changes
- The alchemical formulations of many, many items have been changed.
- Many existing Admixtures have had their formulations (and thus their depth) changed.
- Thunderstones are no longer destroyed by fire or by lightning strikes.
- Thunderstones now deal significantly more damage than a vanilla lightning strike, scaling with your tier. Demon-aligned mages double this damage. If you're sneaking when the thunderstone lands it instead deals damage like a normal lightning strike.
- Modified the process to create motes alchemically. A mote can be Fulminated into three Achromatic Motes, which can then be re-elementalized on the Nexus. You must have created a mote the normal, ritual way in order to re-elementalize an Achromatic Mote or in order to directly fabricate a mote.
- Several MagiChem devices have been given comparator support.
- All MagiChem devices have been added to the Building Gadgets blacklist tag.
- All construct axe arms are now part of the vanilla axes tag so that they can be used for Verdigris scraping.
- Removing a Sublimation in Progress will no longer abort the craft. You can now re-insert a Sublimation in Progress to resume the craft where you left off.
- Materia Manifest GUI now defaults to verbose mode.
- Alchemical Waste and Rarefied Waste can now be stored in Hexerei herb jars, if present in your modpack.
- Codex entries are now advancement-staged to help guide players in the intended direction better and to reduce overwhelm.

Bug Fixes
- Materia Jars are no longer broken by flowing water.
- Fixed a rare null pointer exception with shlorps that could cause a world crash.
- Added missing loot table for Occulted Sparks.
- Fixed reversed tooltips for Occulted Sparks and Cinders.
- Special signalite modes no longer get reset to default when the chunk unloads.
- Breaking the top block of a Variegator should no longer cause a crash.
- The Materia Manifest will no longer display duplicate information if a Mirror Labyrinth or Magic Mirror is in its scanning area.
- Fuseries and Centrifuges no longer lose their inventory when the chunk unloads.
- Actuators will no longer lose their paused status from a Grand device if an adjacent block updates.
- MagiChem will no longer cause random startup crashes due to a "Comparison Violates General Contract!" error, but doing so causes all of the MnA "Requires Tier X" tooltips to be incorrect. This is dependent on an API fix to MnA.
- Fixed many, many issues caused by shift-clicking in MagiChem GUIs.
- Labyrinthine Navigators no longer input/output while unpowered or paused.
- Materia Manifest now correctly truncates numbers like the Mirror Labyrinth GUI.
- Constructs pulling from magic mirrors will no longer create the shlorp starting from the Mirror Labyrinth itself.
- Fixed incorrect Mirror Labyrinth collision shapes.
- Grand Fusery no longer loses its power setting when the chunk unloads.
- Fuseries can now craft even if materia stacks are split across the two slots.
- Labyrinthine Navigators can no longer push to or pull from a Mirror Labyrinth that's redstone paused or unpowered.
- Basic Sorting constructs no longer get confused by Materia Jar Quads.
- Recipies can no longer be permanently damaged until game restart by putting a hopper underneath a MagiChem device.

- Devices will no longer overflow to having negative grime.
- Searching in the Materia Manifest and Mirror Labyrinth now works when capital letters are included.

- All MagiChem devices have had an optimization pass and should now use far fewer server resources.
