LunchWorlds 1.2.0
NPCs
- The NPC system moved here from LunchEssentials. NPCs saved by LunchEssentials are imported on the first world load. Permissions are now
lunchworlds.command.npcandlunchworlds.npc.interact. - Player NPCs are animated: they breathe, follow nearby players with their head, gesture while talking, and can stand, sit or lie down.
- New greeting animations when a conversation starts: wave, excited jump, bow, and dap up. The dap is shown in first person, and other players see your character do it.
- New book-style dialogue screen: the camera frames the NPC, text types itself out, long text gets pages, and choices are buttons.
- Names, dialogue lines and choices support gradients (whole text or part of it).
Compatibility
- NPC and player animations are no longer overridden by Entity Model Features / Fresh Animations or Not Enough Animations.
- The first-person hand is hidden during NPC dialogues, including with Punchy.
Performance
- Custom content is cached on the client: rejoining or reloading only downloads what changed.
- Content is sent gradually instead of all at once, avoiding memory spikes on joins and reloads.
- Fixed items with full charges re-syncing every tick.
- Custom blocks are no longer rendered off-screen.
The server and every player must use LunchWorlds 1.2.0. With LunchEssentials, use 1.3 or newer.
