Linking Through the Ages (LTTA) is a guidebook for Mystcraft, a mod that adds elements from the Myst series of video games by Cyan, Inc. Mystcraft does not come with any in-game instructions, so Linking Through the Ages is made to fill that void. (You may also come across an additional volume during your adventures.)
Linking Through the Ages is not made to be used alone. It requires both Mystcraft and Guidebook to add the guidebook and display its contents properly. It also includes an additional section if More Mystcraft is present. Version 1.4.0 of LTTA was written based on Mystcraft 0.13.7.03, Guidebook 2.9.2, and More Mystcraft 0.6.1. By default, a book is given to every player on first spawn. You can disable this feature in the config file.
Please feel free to use the "Issues" link above to report any problems you encounter while using this mod, but I will refer you to the Mystcraft and/or Guidebook authors if the issue is with their mods.
Be sure to check out these other great Mystcraft add-ons: More Mystcraft, Pages, linking-tweaks, and mystcraft-info.
How can I get the book back if I lost it?
In reply to Shellfish_Shelly:
You can craft a new one at any time with paper and an ink sac.

After 4 hours of attempting to single out the mod, I've found that LTTA is causing the crash due to the missing GUIDEBOOK library mod.
EDIT: Responded to the wrong comment and don't know how to delete comments.
Is this up-to date? Last GitHub commit is Jul 18 2019, while last version posted here is dated Jul 15 2019.
Edit: nope, it seems to be properly updated.
getting a Tick Loop error crash whenever i try to use this mod, is there any trick to fixing this? using it on single player btw
In reply to TheWanderer1990:
getting that problem myself. hopefully it'll be fixed, eventually.
In reply to Caldoric:
When/How does it happen?
I have been getting a ticking loop issue as well and have been having trouble finding it. Maybe it's this mod, and I'm curious if your ticking loop and mine are similar.
Remember to include the mod Guidebook and please use the issue tracker if you continue to have problems.

LTTA doesn't tell you that the library mod is missing, like other mods do.
this book is missing information, how do i make the special link panel pages? how do i make intra link? what is relative link?
That information is purposefully left vague so that you need to experiment. Good luck!
I did not like the fact that I do not have the language file to be able to do the translation, I even found it, but it was in xml, and I don't know how to handle it, it would be good to add all the text in note pad. ps: wanted to translate to pt br to put in a mod pack
The book is missing a texture.

In that case, I cannot interpret what you mean because your issue is vague. What exactly is missing? And have you installed 1.12.2 versions of both Mystcraft and Guidebook?
In reply to Floydman:
In reply to TaigaBunny:
Thank you. That sounds like a Guidebook problem because that mod handles the inventory texture. If you can send me a log file it would help pinpoint the issue. It works fine for me with just LTTA, Mystcraft, and Guidebook, so it may be a mod conflict if you have more mods installed.
In reply to Floydman:
Are you taking visual issue bug reports for this or prefer to focus on more core stuff?
