What's new

Local Resource Colors

- ✨ feat(gradient): Gradient matching now reads block states, models and textures from the currently active resources and calculates colors locally, without downloading or depending on HueBlocks color data. Texture overrides from resource packs participate in color matching.
- ✨ feat(gradient): Dynamically discover vanilla and modded blocks and their distinct faces from standard models, with support for namespaced texture resources. This reduces reliance on external palette updates for new blocks. Tinted faces, special renderers and custom model loaders still have support limitations; automatic compatibility with every modded block is not guaranteed.
- ✨ feat(gradient): Color calculation accounts for texture transparency and animation frame durations, with a content-based local cache. Color data updates at startup and on resource reload, and can also be recalculated manually. The changed calculation rules may produce different matches from earlier versions, even with vanilla resources.
- 🐛 fix(gradient): Rebind block stops and invalidate old results after resource-pack changes. Missing block stops retain their colors with a warning, while missing locked candidates produce conflicts, preventing continued use of results tied to outdated resources.
- ✨ feat(gradient): Gradient parameters and candidate palettes now export in format 2 with full texture resource identifiers, while retaining format 1 import support. Older mod versions cannot read the new format 2 files.

Gradient UI and Wheel Experience

- ✨ feat(defaults): New gradients default to the building-friendly block palette. The primary wheel now defaults to the former Color Categories preset, renamed **Block Color Gradients**; the secondary default remains unchanged. Existing settings, custom groups and imported recipe palette selections are preserved. New defaults apply to new configurations, missing fields and Restore Defaults.
- 💄 style(gradient): Hide skipped-resource details from the top status line while retaining coverage counts and essential warnings. Hover to read the full description, including when the displayed text fits without truncation.
- 💄 style(palette): New configurations and Restore Defaults now use `EXPAND` as the default wheel animation. Existing explicit animation choices are preserved.
- 🐛 fix(animation): Refine the sequential `CLOCKWISE` reveal with equal expansion durations and evenly spaced start times, reducing the sudden acceleration of later entries while preserving the total duration and final positions.
- ✨ feat(palette): Add a dedicated **Temporary Palette (hold)** shortcut, unbound by default and required to differ from the regular wheel key. Hold it to open the temporary wheel even with an empty hand, and release it to close. This provides direct access when the regular shortcut is shared with Radial.

Radial Compatibility Fixes (Fabric)

- 🐛 fix(radial): Update shared regular-key arbitration: while the palette feature is enabled and game input is active, a nonempty main hand reserves the key even without a matching group or next wheel layer, preventing repeated R presses from unexpectedly opening Radial. An empty main hand yields to Radial even when a temporary palette exists. The offhand does not affect this check, and arbitration also applies outside Creative mode. Separate Radial shortcuts and a disabled palette feature remain unaffected.
- 🐛 fix(radial): **Pick Item** now provides a separate target field, item picker and **Use held item** button, including item components. The target and icon can be configured independently. Empty targets retain compatibility with old slots by using the icon item; invalid nonempty targets are rejected rather than falling back to another item. The action remains Creative-only.
- 🐛 fix(radial): Fix the blank editor after selecting **Pick Item** on Minecraft 26.2 with Radial 3.2.0. Support the updated editor and picker APIs while retaining Radial 3.1 compatibility.

Minecraft 26.3 Support

- ✨ feat(migration): Add Fabric and NeoForge editions for Minecraft 26.3, preserving the mod identity, configuration, reach-extension network protocol and wheel sharing format. Gradient recipe format changes and compatibility are described above.
- 🐛 fix(editor): Fix unresponsive custom UI elements and member lists that incorrectly removed entries on left-click while ignoring right-click on 26.3. Restore group selection, right-click removal and drag reordering.
- ✨ feat(palette): Add 87 newly obtainable block items to the built-in **Block Color Gradients** preset for 26.3, preserving the relative order of existing members without overwriting custom groups.
