Local Identity Forge
Run multiple local Minecraft clients from one account without duplicate-name conflicts.
Local Identity Forge gives a client a separate identity for localhost, LAN, and private-network testing without switching Microsoft accounts.
Use it when you need two or more local clients from the same base account but Minecraft would otherwise treat them as the same player.
Features
- Set a separate local Minecraft name from the main menu.
- Join localhost and private/LAN servers under that local identity.
- Run multiple local clients from the same base account with distinct player names.
- Persist the chosen local name between launches.
- Reset to the normal account name at any time.
- Use the standard offline UUID derived from the chosen local name.
- Scope the alternate identity to localhost, LAN, and private-network connections.
Who is this for?
- Mod developers testing multiplayer behavior with multiple local clients.
- Server or plugin developers reproducing multiplayer issues without extra accounts.
- Modpack developers validating multiplayer behavior and pack integrations locally.
- LAN/private-server testers who need distinct local player identities.
- Anyone running multiple local clients for debugging or QA.
Important
Local Identity Forge is a client-side testing utility. It does not switch Microsoft accounts, store credentials, copy account tokens, or bypass online-mode authentication. It is intended for localhost, LAN, private-network, and offline-compatible testing.
