LiveView – Real-Time Minimap

LiveView is a Forge minimap mod that brings a real-time view of your surroundings directly to your Minecraft HUD.

Instead of using a traditional flat map style, LiveView displays the world around your character as it appears in-game. Forests, water, terrain, structures, and other surroundings are shown live from above, making exploration and navigation more natural and immersive.

Features

Real-Time Minimap
See your surroundings live through a circular minimap displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.

Live Terrain View
View forests, water, terrain, structures, and other nearby world features as they appear in-game.

Coordinates
Display your current X, Y, and Z coordinates directly below the minimap.

Biome Information
See the biome you are currently exploring without opening additional menus.

Zoom Controls
Change the minimap viewing distance to focus on nearby terrain or see a wider surrounding area.

Adjustable Minimap Size
Resize the minimap directly from the in-game settings panel.

Waypoints
Save important locations such as your home, mines, villages, portals, structures, or any place you want to find again.

Custom Waypoint Colors
Choose different colors when creating waypoints to easily organize different types of locations.

Waypoint Names
Give each waypoint a custom name and choose whether its name should be visible on the map.

Waypoint List
View and manage all saved waypoints from a dedicated list. Rename them, change their visibility, or delete them at any time.

Quick Map Waypoints
Press H to open the LiveView settings panel. While the panel is open, you can interact directly with the minimap using your mouse.

Left-click anywhere on the minimap to create a waypoint at the selected location.

Right-click an existing waypoint on the minimap to quickly remove it.

World-Based Waypoint Storage
Waypoints are stored separately for each Minecraft world, so locations created in one world will not automatically appear in another.

In-Game Settings Panel
Control minimap visibility, coordinates, minimap size, zoom level, waypoint creation, and other LiveView options without leaving your world.

Controls

H — Open or close the LiveView settings panel.

Z — Change the minimap zoom level.

B — Quickly create a waypoint at your current position.

How to Use

Press H to open the LiveView settings panel.

From the panel, you can enable or disable the minimap and coordinate display, change the minimap size, and adjust the zoom level.

To create a waypoint manually, enter a name, choose a color, and press Save.

Open the Waypoint List to manage your saved locations. From there, you can rename waypoints, control whether their names appear on the map, or delete them.

While the settings panel is open, move your mouse over the minimap and left-click the location where you want to create a waypoint.

To remove a waypoint directly from the minimap, right-click the waypoint while the settings panel is open.

For faster waypoint creation, press B at any time to save your current position.
