Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Little Logistics 1.21.1.1-beta.2
Pre-release (beta) — first build on Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge. Please test in a non-critical world before relying on it.
This is the first release of Little Logistics for Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge, ported over from the previous 1.20.1 (Forge) build. Alongside the platform update, this release brings a major overhaul of the docking and routing systems, new tutorial content, and a batch of important data-safety fixes. As a beta, please try it in a non-critical world first.
Supersedes 1.21.1.1-beta.1, which failed to publish its Maven artifact due to a dead publish target; no code changes from beta.1 other than that publishing fix.
Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge Update
- Ported the entire mod from Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) to Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge).
New Content & Features
- Redesigned docking system: old dock, hopper, and charger variants are unified into a single adaptable multipart dock block plus a matching dock rail. Includes a new in-world configuration GUI (idle-timeout control with presets, selectable redstone modes) and enhanced crane model visuals.
- Routing overhaul: tug and train routing reworked with improved pathfinding, a better UI for selecting destination blocks, and refined route compilation.
- Diagonal tug travel: tugs can now move diagonally, enabling more efficient water routes.
- Route path preview: hold a wrench to visualize the compiled path of a tug or train route item.
- Automatic rail reservations: junction rails now use a reservation system to prevent locomotives from deadlocking and to improve traffic flow.
- Auto-ownership & chunk loading: tugs and locomotives are now automatically owned and chunk-loaded when placed, with new config options for route lookahead and chunk retention.
- Create Ponder tutorials: added Ponder scenes covering tug linking, routing, and docking, and locomotive docking (replacing the old in-game Patchouli guide).
- Dedicated creative tabs: mod items and blocks are now organized into their own creative-mode tabs.
- Added a visual socket detail to the docking-station model, and improved the seater car texture.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed item duplication/loss on chunk unload for the Chest Barge and Chest/Barrel Car — inventory was previously both dropped and kept when the chunk unloaded.
- Fixed fuel/capacitor item duplication on chunk unload for Steam and Energy Locomotives.
- Fixed silent route data loss — waypoints could be dropped when editing tug and locomotive route items.
- Fixed server crash when a locomotive route exceeded the waypoint limit; the route tracker could crash the server tick on very large routes.
- Fixed a client-side native memory leak in route/vehicle rendering that grew every frame while holding a route item or wrench.
- Fixed Chunk Loader Barge data loss — it previously lost its color, spring-link, and entity data on reload; save/load now chains correctly.
- Fixed lost leader spring-link on re-save caused by an NBT key mismatch.
- Fixed locomotive junction deadlocks at rail junctions.
- Fixed route copy recipes and enabled shift-click mass production.
- Fixed custom switch, tee, and junction rails so they properly auto-connect and reshape with vanilla rails.
- Fixed a crash when a solo wagon or barge stalls on its own without a head vehicle.
- Fixed Fluid Tank Car failing to render its fluid contents.
- Fixed synced-data ID collisions on the Fluid Tank Barge and Fluid Tank Car.
- Fixed docking-station crane icon and texture rendering glitches.
- Fixed a tug routing penalty calculation error that affected path selection.
- Fixed dock follower-vehicle binding and settlement accuracy during docking.
- Fixed inconsistent vehicle coupling/linking data.
Balance & Tweaks
- Improved train collision detection and pathfinding accuracy.
- Improved locomotive game-state persistence to prevent desync issues.
- Improved docking physics and tug behavior when approaching docks and starting new routes.
- Guide rails removed — use dock rails and wrench-based route visualization instead.
