Soul Link is a hardcore survival mod that intertwines the souls of two players. From the moment you are linked, your individuality disappears: your partner's pain is your pain, and their death is your end.
🛠️ Key Features
🧩 The Bond (Core Mechanics)
- Shared Life & Death: Your health bars are one. Any damage taken is reflected instantly on both players. If one falls, a 3-second "soul-fading" sequence begins before both souls are extinguished forever.
- Shared Hunger & Saturation: Survival is a team effort. Eating food shares 50% of the hunger and saturation values with your partner.
- Experience Mirror: Your XP levels are perfectly synchronized. Gaining experience or spending it on enchantments affects both players in real-time.
- Status Effect Link: All potion effects, both positive and negative, are shared. If one drinks Strength, both become powerful; if one is poisoned, both suffer.
📈 [NEW] Soul Resonance System (v1.0.3)
- Your bond is no longer static—it evolves. As your spiritual connection grows stronger, you will unlock hidden powers. Press [K] to open the new Resonance Menu and track your progress.
- Resonance Levels (1 to 5): Not all abilities are available from the start. You must earn Resonance XP (by mining rare ores, defeating enemies, and surviving) to level up. Each new tier unlocks unique capabilities that make your survival more efficient.
- Survival Streak: Stay alive! Surviving consecutive Minecraft days increases your resonance and grants significant daily XP bonuses. The longer you survive, the stronger the bond becomes.
✨ Master Soul Abilities
As you reach the higher tiers of resonance, you will unlock the most powerful abilities of the mod:
- 🔄 Soul Swap (Level 4): Instantly exchange positions with your partner. A perfect tactical tool for emergency rescues or complex navigation.
- 🛡️ Last Breath (Level 5): A divine safety net. If a player takes fatal damage, they become temporarily invulnerable, granting one last chance to escape death.
- 🔥 Soul Avenger (Level 5): The power of vengeance. If your partner is downed, you enter a state of rage with increased speed and strength. Defeat an enemy within the time limit to restore your partner’s soul and bring them back to life!
⚠️ Challenges of the Link
- Thermal Shock: Be careful with biomes! Being in drastically different climates (e.g., Desert vs. Tundra) causes confusion and elemental damage.
- Distance Strain: Staying more than 500 blocks apart strains the connection, causing Weakness and Mining Fatigue. The soul suffers when it is too far from its other half.
- Soul Compass: An essential tool that now allows you to track your partner even across different dimensions (Nether, End).
