What's new

1.15 — The Steed and the Skill Bar

Mounts

  • The Mount Shop sells the original's own horse again: the 2013 model in one of three coats (chestnut, white, black), rolled at purchase and kept for life. 150 health that knits itself back over time, never despawns, answers only to its owner.
  • Three mounts to choose from — Horse + Whistle (7,500), Warhorse (15,000: armoured, 250 HP, tramples the monsters it gallops into) and Courser (25,000: faster, high jump). Trade up any time; your old steed is retired and the price of the new one is all you pay.
  • Y blows the horse whistle from anywhere in your inventory: it calls the steed to the nearest solid ground beside you, or sends it away again.

Class abilities — all six slots

  • The original drew a six-slot skill bar above the hotbar and never filled it in. Every class now has all six, on Z X C V B N, unlocking at levels 1 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 30 and training to Rank III through use.
  • Warrior: War Cry, Shield Wall, Cleave, Shockwave, Storm Blade, Thunderstorm.
  • Mage: Arcane Barrage, Blink, Mana Shield, Earthquake, Mind Spike, Meteor Rain.
  • Assassin: Shadowstep, Smoke Bomb, Backstab, Fan of Knives, Venom Cloud, Wave of Death.
  • Berserk: Blood Rage, Ground Slam, Roar, Whirlwind, Crushing Blow, Undying.
  • Archer: Power Shot, Disengage, Multishot, Poison Arrow, Pinning Shot, Rain of Arrows.
  • The two old ultimates (Wave of Death, Meteor Rain) are the sixth slot of their class now rather than a key of their own.

Interface

  • Every screen is drawn in the mod's own look — all ten shops, the quest log, attributes, skill tree, tutorial, character creation, the Heartstone, story dialogue, the world map, the sell block, and the HUD's target frame and boss bar. Live item icons in slots, prices beside their buttons, titles that fit their frames.
  • Classic UI: prefer 2013? Flip the look on the tutorial's last page or in Mod Settings and the whole game — HUD, screens, buttons — goes back to the original's, artwork and all.
  • The ability bar sits above the hotbar in both looks, with its icons recoloured to match, a cooldown sweep, the level each slot needs, and the name of whatever you just cast.
  • Mod Settings in the pause menu: minimap, damage numbers, target frame, ability bar, Herobrine's add cap and the Warhorse's charge.

Also

  • Floating damage numbers over whatever gets hit.
  • A "Level Up!" banner when you gain one.
  • Herobrine's endless add waves are capped (set it back to unlimited in Mod Settings if you liked the pile-up).
  • Innkeeper, quest log and HUD text all fit their boxes now; the minimap costs far less to draw.
