A faithful recode of the classic 1.5.1 story-RPG mod, rebuilt from the ground up for Forge 1.8.8 — every quest, boss, shop and stat, plus the quality-of-life it always deserved.
237 years ago, a hero defeated Herobrine — but his power wasn't enough to free Notch, sealed in a giant statue in the farlands. Everyone has been waiting for the hero who can. That hero is you.
The Story
A full RPG campaign across a hand-built world: enlist with Commander Ryan in Port Juno, run errands for the King, and follow the old mage Aldor's hunt for the four Elemental Wizards before they can summon Herobrine back into the world.
- A complete quest chain — from your first wooden sword to the final battle at Notch's statue
- 8 bosses — the Ice Knight, the Ancient Guardian, the Pharaoh, the four Elemental Mages, and Herobrine himself
- 7 dialogue NPCs and a living town — 19 placed NPCs with shops, dialogue and quest turn-ins
The RPG
- 5 classes — Warrior, Mage, Assassin, Berserk, Archer — each with its own weapon lines
- Level cap 75, 3 attribute points per level across Strength, Agility, Intellect and Stamina, plus Melee and Arcane Mastery skill trees
- A physical economy — monsters scatter coins on death; picking them up fills your purse. Weapon, armor, alchemy, general, mining and mount shops, an innkeeper, a teleporter and a sell block
- Region-tiered monsters — every mob rolls its variant from where it stands: outlaws in the valley, armored dead in the midlands, ogres in the highlands, elemental warriors and wisps from the frozen north to the Vulcano
Quality of Life (new in the remaster)
- Quest guide — a toggleable (G) compass strip and light-beam waypoints for every part of your current objective, including hunting grounds while you're collecting
- Live objective tallies — every "collect X" shows its count the moment you pick something up
- Minimap with rotating compass arrow, region name and coordinates
- Modernized UI over the original artwork — animated HUD bars, clean buttons, target health readout with names and levels
- /travel — open the Teleporter's destination list anywhere (still costs gold!)
- RPG death screen — respawn at the city, in your current biome, or on the spot with a Life Crystal
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.8.8 with Forge 11.15.0.1655+
- The Legend of Notch world map (the campaign plays on the original's hand-built world — download in the files section)
- Best experienced in singleplayer or small co-op
