# Lava Floor
A survival challenge mod built for streams and videos: the floor slowly turns into lava, and it only gets worse from there.
## How it works
**Start.** The `/lavastart` command kicks off the sequence - a short warning, then a 2-minute countdown on screen.
**Lava underfoot.** When the timer runs out, the block under each player ignites shortly after they step on it. Standing still doesn't help - walking forward doesn't either: lava follows right behind you, leaving a burning trail.
**Ring expansion.** 15 minutes after the lava starts, a ring of lava begins spreading outward around each player, shrinking the safe space bit by bit. Progress shows on a boss bar.
**Chaos effects.** 10 minutes after that, random events start rarely triggering for the whole team at once:
- Slowness, blindness, nausea, weakness, darkness - the usual debuffs
- **Inverted controls** - WASD flips inside out
- **Fake lag** - movement starts sticking, like your internet just died
- **Screen flip** - the camera turns upside down
- **Swap places** - two random players get teleported to each other
Every effect hits the whole team at once - nobody sits this one out.
## Format
Built for co-op, not PvP: nobody deliberately hurts anyone else, everyone suffers through the lava and chaos together. Perfect for a group challenge you're recording - the timer, boss bar, and sudden effects create tension and highlight moments on their own.
## Installation
Requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API. Must be installed **on the server and on every player's client** - some effects (inverted controls, fake lag, screen flip) are client-side and won't work without the mod on the player's end.
