Last Chance
Surviving doesn't mean you're intact.
Last Chance replaces the single health bar with a real injury system. Hard hits, falls, explosions, fire and mobs damage specific body parts. Death is no longer the only bad outcome: you can win a fight, break your arm, limp home, splint it, and spend several in-game days recovering.
Features
40+ body parts. Head, face, each eye and ear, nose, jaw, neck, chest, abdomen, back, pelvis, shoulders, elbows, forearms, hands, every finger separately, thighs, knees, shins, feet and toes.
23 injury types. Bruises, sprains, dislocations, fractures and open fractures, cuts and deep wounds, nerve/ligament/tendon damage, burns, frostbite, infection, necrosis, numbness, concussion, skull fractures and internal injuries. Not every injury fits every part.
Injuries have causes. Falls hit the legs, explosions injure several parts at once, fire burns, heavy mobs break bones. Hit height and direction matter. Every injury is explained in chat: what happened, which part, the effect, and how to treat it.
What it feels like Hands & fingers: grip comes from shoulder, elbow, forearm, hand and fingers combined. A few injured fingers or a broken hand and the arm can't hold items at all. The other hand keeps working. Two-handed items: maces, tridents, bows, crossbows and heavy blocks need two healthy hands. Legs: speed, sprinting and jumping depend on each leg's parts. One broken leg means a heavy limp; both means barely walking. Eyes & ears: an injured eye darkens its side of the screen; both means near-blindness. Ear injuries and fainting muffle sound. Jaw: with a broken jaw you can only eat soups, stews and honey. Head & neck: concussions cause dizziness and camera sway, severe trauma can knock you out. Pain shake only appears with serious injuries, never constantly. Bleeding in four levels, slowly draining health until treated. Pain, shock, fainting: you don't die automatically when you pass out; you may wake up if you stabilize. Treatment
No universal healing item. Each problem needs its own:
Item Purpose Bandage stops bleeding Tourniquet stops limb bleeding (leave it on too long and you risk necrosis) Splint sets fractures and dislocations Antiseptic prevents and treats infection Painkiller temporarily dulls pain Medkit treats several minor injuries Surgical kit required for severe damage: open fractures, necrosis, internal injuries, nerves and tendons
Healing takes in-game days. Straining an injured part makes it worse: sprains become ligament damage, dislocations become fractures, fractures become open fractures.
