Kryzenth 1.4.0
Steam Village (underground structure)
- The cavern: a huge cave with its floor between y -35 and -12, with paved streets, gas lamp posts, giant brass pipes along the ceiling, stalactites and steam vents. A brick chimney with a ladder rises to the surface and marks the spot.
- Buildings: a clock tower at the center (chest at the top), worker houses, workshop houses, open workshops, a foundry, barracks with an Ancient Knight spawner, a pump house with a water tower, a market, a warehouse with rails, and ruins.
- Spawns: Ancient Knights are the monsters that spawn inside the cavern, even with the lamps lit.
- Hangar (rare, about 35% of villages): holds a rusted Steam Mech, the Mech Workbench, and chests with parts and repair kits.
- Pipe network: every roofed building has a brass flange and a pipe that climbs to one of the four giant pipes.
- The four giant pipes connect to the top of the clock tower: they pass through its roof into a riveted brass hub on top of the tower's central pipe.
- Where the cave ceiling drops and a giant pipe ends early, a building's pipe climbs straight into the rock instead of floating.
- New blocks:
- Rusted Plates (with stairs and slab), Riveted Brass, Gears, Brass Pipe and Iron Grate.
- Steam Vent: its puffs launch you upward.
- Steam Boiler: lit with coal, put out with water.
- Gas Lamp and Mech Workbench.
- Steam Chest: the village's own animated chest. It has a riveted copper box, a trembling gauge, a spinning combination lock, a lid gear and a chimney that puffs smoke, plus its own GUI and sounds.
Steam Mech
- A 3.5-block rideable robot. You find it broken in the hangar.
- Use 3 Steam Repair Kits to fix it.
- Fuel it with coal, charcoal or coal blocks.
- Right-click with an empty hand to get in.
- Controls: WASD to walk; left click uses the drill arm (breaks blocks and hurts); right click uses the weapon arm (Cannon or Flamethrower); jump uses the jetpack (if installed) or a short hop.
- Fuel and hull: walking, drilling, shooting and flying use coal. A HUD shows coal and hull. The mech absorbs 70% of the pilot's damage. Kits and iron ingots repair the hull.
- Mech Workbench (mech within 10 blocks):
- Drill: brass, diamond, or Kryzenth (3x3, mines anything).
- Weapon: Cannon or Flamethrower.
- Plating: iron or Ancient Copper.
- Reinforced Boiler: +30% speed, lower coal use, faster cannon reload.
- Mech Jetpack.
- Coal slot that feeds the boiler.
- Body and leg parts (each comes clean or rusted). The hangar mech comes with a random body and legs.
- Light Mech Frame: open tube cage. -40 hull, -2 armor, +15% speed, the mech absorbs 50% of the pilot's damage.
- Steam Cab: the default body.
- Armored Cab: closed cab with a visor and periscope.
- The pilot is hidden and protected from damage, fire and drowning.
- +60 hull, +6 armor, +3 toughness, -10% speed.
- Light Legs: +25% speed, higher jumps, 1.5-block step, 20% less coal, -10 hull.
- Steam Legs: the default legs.
- Heavy Legs: side pistons and tread feet.
- +30 hull, +4 armor, -20% speed, 30% more coal.
- Falls of more than 2.5 blocks become a damaging stomp.
- The heavy body pushes the arms outward and adds iron supports.
Ammunition, Turrets and Golem
- Ammunition:
- Cannonball: 4 iron ingots and 1 gunpowder make 8.
- Incendiary Cannonball: sets targets and the ground on fire.
- The mech cannon uses cannonballs from the pilot's inventory.
- Steam Turret (block): turns, aims and fires cannonballs at monsters up to 16 blocks away.
- Loading: load it by hand or with hoppers. A redstone signal turns it off.
- Friendly fire: it never hits players or Steam Golems.
- Animations: boiler pistons, gauge needle, handwheel, an ammo drum that turns per shot, muzzle flash, a headlamp that blinks with a target, recoil and steam. With no ammo or with redstone, the barrel drops and the lamp goes dark.
- Variants: made with the Steam Turret in the middle of a cross of materials.
- Fire Turret (blaze rods and magma blocks): every shot is incendiary and reloads faster.
- Explosive Turret (TNT and gunpowder): grenades with a 4.5-block blast (up to 16 damage) and 20-block range. They do not break blocks.
- Ice Turret (blue ice and ice crystals): freezing shots that slow and weaken the target and those nearby.
- Steam Golem: build a T of 4 Ancient Copper Blocks and place a Steam Boiler as the head.
- Combat: fights like an iron golem and never attacks players.
- Steam blast: every 5 seconds it fires a cone of steam (6 damage, knockback, Slowness II).
- Repair: coal or Ancient Copper ingots.
- Visuals: new model with a rounded boiler chest, gauges, a diving-helmet head, fingers and knees, plus a new death animation.
Ancient Copper weapons
- Ancient Copper Hawk (rare chest loot): a leather and copper bracer with a mechanical falcon.
- Attack: right click sends it to claw your target (up to 40 blocks, 10 damage), then it returns. Right click again to call it back.
- First person: it sits on your arm, looks around and preens.
- Third person: you hold a falconer pose.
- Upgrades: the Fire Hawk sets targets on fire and leaves a trail of flames. The Explosive Hawk explodes on impact without breaking blocks or hurting you.
- Steam Rifle and Fire Steam Rifle (3D, animated):
- Reloading: hold right click to pump, spin the drum and fill it with up to 6 Brass Cartridges.
- Shots: the normal rifle fires fast 9-damage bullets. The fire version fires a burst of 3 fire bolts.
- Ancient Copper Shield (rework): new animated texture.
- Blocking: releases a steam blast that pushes harder, scalds the attacker and slows them.
-
Deserts and Badlands
Dunemaw
- A giant amphibian (3.4 blocks wide) that lies buried in sand. Only its lure, which looks like a colorful flower, sticks out.
- Getting close to the flower, or hitting it, makes it burst out with a 14-damage area bite.
- The flower also lures nearby animals.
- Combat: 140 health, 6 armor.
- Bite (12 damage).
- Tongue grab from 5 to 14 blocks that pulls you to its mouth.
- Frog leaps whose landing hurts nearby targets.
- After 10 seconds without a target it burrows again and slowly heals.
- Spawning: now spawns in deserts and in all badlands biomes. In badlands it has its own texture: banded terracotta skin, red sand and a turquoise and yellow flower. It can also burrow into terracotta.
- Loot: Dunemaw Hide and a 25% chance of the Dunemaw Lash.
- Dunemaw Hide Armor:
- Model: 3D frog hood with a mouth, amber eyes and a swaying lure, a painted vest with frog-head shoulder pads, and frog-foot boots.
- Full set: Speed II and Jump Boost on sand, half fall damage, and Dunemaws will not ambush you.

- Damage: 8.
- Right click: shoots the tongue up to 12 blocks. It pulls enemies to you, or works as a grappling hook on blocks.

- Architecture: four corner towers with ladders up to rooftop terraces, and a covered gallery inside the walls.
- Gate: a relief of the Dunemaw's face with glowing froglight eyes.

- Tamed Dunemaw:
- Following: it follows its owner and teleports to them when far behind.
- Targets: it attacks whoever hurts you, whatever you attack, and nearby monsters (not creepers). It never hurts players or your other pets.
- Waiting: click it to make it stay. On sand, sandstone or terracotta it burrows and ambushes only monsters. Click again to make it follow.
- Healing: raw meat heals it.
- Persistence: it does not despawn on Peaceful, and iron golems leave it alone.

The Blossom Vale (new rare biome)
Biome
- Size and terrain: a large biome about 500 blocks across. It generates only on temperate continental land and favors open terrain (plains and low hills) so there is flat ground for its ruins.

- Transformation: if a player hits it, or if it sees a player at night, it swells and turns into the Mochiusa Devourer.
- Mochiusa Devourer: a 4.5-block monster (30 health, 10 armor) that hunts that one player until they die, then shrinks back.

Balance
Late-game armor used to go well past the game's defense cap of 30, so Eclipsium, Níðhöggr and Equinoxium all protected the same. Late-game weapons also killed most things in a few hits. Each material now has its own step, with the Kryzenth sword (11.5 damage) as the baseline.
- A giant amphibian (3.4 blocks wide) that lies buried in sand. Only its lure, which looks like a colorful flower, sticks out.
