Filters selected profanity from your outgoing chat while still allowing short names and mild words like “crap,” “damn,” and “hell.”

KindChat — Anti-Swear Chat is a client-side outgoing-chat filter for Minecraft. It cancels messages that match its blocked-word rules and shows a local chat and subtitle reminder: “Don't swear, act kind! Mod: Anti-Swear Chat”

Balanced defaults

  • Blocks selected profanity, including wtf and common punctuation or spacing variants.
  • Allows short names such as f and fi, plus mild words such as crap, damn, and hell.
  • Does not combine separate chat messages when checking them.
  • Includes a customizable blocked-word list.

Compatibility: Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge. This is a client-side filter; it doesn’t moderate other players’ messages or replace server moderation. Filters can miss unfamiliar spellings, and custom rules may affect what gets blocked.
