AI controls villagers, pillagers, piglins, wither skeletons, and the AI also controls the 3 bosses.

Minecraft AI Civilization & Technology Mod

Overview

This mod transforms Minecraft into a much more dynamic world by giving Villagers, Pillagers, Piglins, and Wither Skeletons advanced AI systems.

AI-controlled civilizations can build structures, gather resources, use machines, interact with blocks, expand their settlements, and develop their own technologies.

Players can also create and manage their own villages, construct specialized buildings, interact with AI civilizations, and influence conflicts between different factions.

The goal of this mod is to create a living Minecraft world in which civilizations can develop and behave independently instead of simply remaining in their vanilla structures.

AI Civilization System

The following races can be controlled by independent AI systems:

  • Villagers
  • Pillagers
  • Piglins
  • Wither Skeletons

Each civilization has its own AI.

Villagers

Every village has an independent AI.

Villager civilizations can:

  • Build houses and other structures
  • Gather resources
  • Mine blocks
  • Place blocks
  • Interact with blocks
  • Use machines
  • Build factories
  • Manage their village
  • Choose suitable locations for expansion
  • Attract new Villagers

Villages should normally be separated by approximately 1,000 blocks.

Pillagers

Every Pillager Outpost has its own AI.

Pillager Outposts should normally be separated by approximately 1,500 blocks.

Pillagers can build, gather resources, interact with blocks, and develop their own structures.

Piglins

Piglins are treated as their own civilization.

All Piglins in the Minecraft world are controlled by the Piglin AI.

Wither Skeletons

Wither Skeletons are also treated as an independent civilization.

All Wither Skeletons in the Minecraft world are controlled by the Wither Skeleton AI.

AI Building System

AI-controlled creatures can interact with the Minecraft world in a much more advanced way.

They can:

  • Break blocks
  • Place blocks
  • Gather materials
  • Build structures
  • Interact with machines
  • Use factory systems
  • Construct specialized buildings

AI entities must not generate building materials from nothing.

Before placing a block, they must obtain the required material through mining, gathering, crafting, or another valid game mechanic.

Factory System

AI civilizations can construct and operate factories.

The factory system introduces machines and transportation systems that can also be used by players.

Conveyor Belts

The first factory machine is the conveyor belt.

Items can be placed onto conveyor belts by:

  • Robot arms
  • Players using sneak + right-click

A conveyor belt requires a motor in order to operate.

The motor must be correctly connected to the conveyor belt.

Once connected, the conveyor belt transports items in the direction in which its front is facing.

Large Items

The conveyor system supports objects that occupy multiple blocks.

The number of conveyor belts required depends on the size of the object.

For example:

  • 1 block → 1 conveyor belt
  • 2 blocks → 2 conveyor belts
  • 3 blocks → 3 conveyor belts
  • 4 blocks → 4 conveyor belts
  • 5 blocks → 5 conveyor belts

This applies to the object's width, height, and length.

The system should automatically account for objects larger than one block.

Robot Arms

Robot arms are part of the factory system.

They can:

  • Pick up items
  • Move items
  • Place items
  • Place items onto conveyor belts
  • Interact with factory machines

This allows civilizations to construct automated production systems.

Player-Created Villages

Players can create their own villages.

To create a village, the player uses three sticks while sneaking and left-clicking.

This creates a campfire that acts as the village center.

The player can sneak and right-click the campfire to enter a name for the village.

After the village has been named, a popularity rating is displayed in the top-right corner.

Village Popularity

Popularity represents how attractive the village is to new Villagers.

The number represents how many Villagers are expected to move into the village per Minecraft day.

Villagers evaluate villages using four main categories.

1. Food

The village must have sufficient food supplies.

The planned daily requirements are:

  • 3 water bottles
  • 3 bread

2. Beds

Every Villager requires a bed.

3. Jobs

Every Villager that moves into a new village should receive a job within three Minecraft days.

4. Nature

Trees must be available near the village.

Villagers prefer villages where more of these requirements are fulfilled.

Zombie Evolution

Zombies become stronger over time through three mutations.

Day 10 – First Mutation

Zombies gain the ability to destroy blocks.

Day 20 – Second Mutation

Zombies gain the ability to place blocks.

Day 30 – Third Mutation

Zombies permanently gain Regeneration I.

After the third mutation, Zombies stop evolving.

Diplomacy and War

Players can declare war on another village or kingdom.

To declare war, the player uses a Book and Quill and interacts with the village campfire.

The player can write a declaration such as:

War against [Kingdom Name]

The specified kingdom becomes the target of the declaration.

This system is intended to make conflicts between civilizations more interactive and understandable.

Player-Requested Houses

Players can request specific houses for Villagers to construct.

The player places a sign and writes the name of the desired building on it.

For example:

Smithy

The AI recognizes the requested building and attempts to construct the corresponding structure.

New Buildings

Log House

The Log House contains:

  • Five chests around the outside
  • A crafting table around the outside
  • A 5 × 5 cobblestone floor

Shooting House

The Shooting House has a 7 × 7 cobblestone floor.

Target blocks are positioned at the corners.

Villagers can use the building to practice shooting arrows.

Every arrow fired by a Villager increases that Villager's chance of hitting a target by 0.01%.

Cables

The mod adds cables as a new technology.

Cables can be crafted using three copper bars placed in one horizontal row in a crafting table.

All newly added items and blocks should have a realistic appearance while remaining visually compatible with Minecraft.

Advanced Water System

The mod introduces a more detailed water system.

Instead of treating every water block as one complete block, each water block consists of six separate water sections.

Each section is two pixels high.

When water is placed with a bucket on a flat surface, the water separates into its individual sections.

When sufficient space is available, each section can occupy its own block position.

Only the corresponding two-pixel section is rendered.

Water sections gradually disappear over time, with one section disappearing every two minutes.

Gravity System

Gravity behaves differently in different dimensions.

Overworld

Blocks are affected by gravity normally.

Nether

Blocks are affected by gravity normally.

End

The End has no gravity.

Blocks can therefore remain suspended in the air and can move.

Dispensers can also experience recoil when firing projectiles.

For example, firing snowballs causes the dispenser to move in the opposite direction.

The recoil increases with the number of projectiles fired.

Connected blocks affect the movement speed of the dispenser.

Creature Hair and Custom Spawners

Players can use shears on supported creatures to obtain creature-specific hair.

Examples include:

  • Cow Hair
  • Pig Hair
  • Sheep Hair

This system can be applied to supported creatures throughout the game.

Creature hair can be used to create a corresponding creature spawner.

The spawner remembers the creature associated with the hair used to create it.

Once placed, the spawner generates the corresponding creature every 20 seconds.

The system works:

  • During the day
  • During the night
  • In different dimensions

Villager Migration

If there is no other village in the current dimension, Villagers will join the player's village.

This allows players to establish new settlements in previously uninhabited areas.

Boss 1 – Golibert

Name: Golibert
Health: 20,000 hearts
Spawn: Jungle only
World Limit: One Golibert per Minecraft world

Golibert is a flying moss block that moves through jungles.

Golibert is controlled by AI.

Attack 1 – Helpers

Every 30 seconds, Golibert summons helpers.

The helpers resemble extremely small oak-log creatures.

Their feet consist of two vertically stacked oak logs.

They are approximately 30 times smaller than a normal block.

The helpers do not have faces, but they can detect attackers.

When a helper is within two blocks of an attacker, it deals 3 hearts of damage.

This attack ignores armor.

The helpers can:

  • Break blocks
  • Place blocks
  • Interact with blocks
  • Build structures

Golibert and his helpers are controlled by AI.

Attack 2 – Status Effects

Attackers within 50 blocks of Golibert receive Poison I.

Every five minutes, an attacker receives Weakness II for 10 seconds.

Golibert permanently has Regeneration II.

Laser

Golibert raises his right arm before firing his laser.

The laser deals 3 hearts of damage per second to entities directly in its path.

Boss 2 – Warden of Skeletons

Name: Warden of Skeletons
Health: 10,000 hearts
Spawn: Cave
World Limit: One per Minecraft world

The Warden of Skeletons is a floating triangular boss.

Skeleton Summoning

Every 30 seconds, the boss summons Skeletons.

Each Skeleton has 30 hearts.

The Skeletons can carry Minecraft items as well as items added by this mod.

They can also:

  • Break blocks
  • Place blocks
  • Interact with blocks
  • Build structures

The Skeletons and the Warden of Skeletons are controlled by AI.

Regeneration

The Warden of Skeletons permanently has Regeneration III while alive.

Wither Boss Progression

The mod introduces four stages of Wither-related bosses.

Stage 1 – Wither Skeleton Master

Health: 35 hearts

No additional abilities.

Stage 2 – Wither King

Health: 600 hearts

The Wither King can summon three Withers.

The summoned Withers assist him and attack his enemies.

Stage 3 – Wither Master

Health: 6,000 hearts

The Wither Master can summon 15 Wither Skeletons every 30 seconds.

He permanently has Regeneration II while alive.

Apart from these abilities, he behaves similarly to a normal Wither.

Stage 4 – Wither God

Health: 50,000 hearts

The Wither God has all abilities of Stage 3.

He permanently has Regeneration III.

The Wither God rules over the Wither Skeleton civilization.

The Wither God and the other Wither-related AI entities are controlled by AI.

Main Goal of the Mod

The main goal of this project is to create a Minecraft world that feels alive.

Instead of villages and hostile structures simply existing in the world, civilizations should be able to:

  • Develop independently
  • Build structures
  • Gather resources
  • Create factories
  • Use machines
  • Interact with the environment
  • Expand their settlements
  • Develop technologies
  • Fight wars
  • Migrate
  • Interact with other civilizations

The player can either participate in these civilizations or simply observe how the world develops on its own.

This mod is intended to combine Minecraft survival, civilization simulation, AI behavior, automation, building, exploration, and large-scale world events into one experience.
