Space Travel System
The mod adds a space travel system that allows players to travel to different planets.
Players can reach space by building and launching rockets.
Rocket Workbench
The first step is to craft a Rocket Workbench.
The Rocket Workbench is crafted in a normal crafting table using this recipe:
Top Row
3 Redstone Blocks
Middle Row
3 Iron Blocks
Bottom Row
3 Copper Blocks
After crafting the Rocket Workbench, the player places it in the world and interacts with it.
The Rocket Workbench opens a special rocket-building interface.
The player can choose between four different rockets:
- Moon Rocket
- Mars Rocket
- Venus Rocket
- Mercury Rocket
Below the rocket-selection menu are nine inventory slots for the required materials.
Moon Rocket
The Moon Rocket requires:
- 3 Iron Blocks
- 50 Copper Bars
The Moon is completely made of stone.
Mars Rocket
The Mars Rocket requires:
- 4 Gold Blocks
- 4 Iron Blocks
- 1 Diamond Block
Mars consists mainly of sand.
Each sand block on Mars has a 1% chance of transforming into an Iron Block.
Venus Rocket
The Venus Rocket requires:
- 9 Iron Blocks
- 5 Gold Blocks
Venus consists of lava and magma blocks.
Mercury Rocket
The Mercury Rocket requires:
- 6 Diamond Blocks
- 7 Gold Blocks
- 8 Iron Blocks
- 7 Netherite Blocks
Mercury contains:
- Iron Ore
- Gold Ore
- Diamond Ore
- Ancient Debris
Rocket Appearance
All rockets should have a realistic rocket design inspired by real-world spacecraft.
The four rockets should have visually distinct designs while still fitting into the Minecraft art style.
Launching a Rocket
The player can left-click a completed rocket to enter it.
After entering the rocket, the player can launch it.
The rocket must travel approximately 1,000 blocks vertically upward.
After reaching the required altitude, the rocket automatically travels to the selected destination and lands on the corresponding planet or moon.
The player then arrives on the selected celestial body.
Space Suit
A space suit is required to survive on other planets.
Without a space suit, the player dies immediately after entering an environment where the suit is required.
The space suit is based on the existing Iron Armor.
Each armor piece must be upgraded individually.
To upgrade an Iron Armor piece, place the armor piece together with a Copper Block in the crafting interface.
This creates the corresponding space-suit armor piece.
The complete space suit consists of:
- Space Helmet
- Space Chestplate
- Space Leggings
- Space Boots
The player must wear the appropriate space-suit equipment when traveling to other planets.
Planet Environments
Each destination has its own unique environment.
Moon
- Mainly stone
- Low-gravity environment
Mars
- Mainly sand
- 1% chance for individual sand blocks to transform into Iron Blocks
Venus
- Lava
- Magma Blocks
- Extremely dangerous environment
Mercury
- Iron Ore
- Gold Ore
- Diamond Ore
- Ancient Debris
Each planet should feel visually and mechanically different from the others.
Space Exploration Goal
The space system is designed to make exploration an important part of the mod.
Players must:
- Build the Rocket Workbench.
- Select a destination.
- Collect the required resources.
- Build the appropriate rocket.
- Build and equip the space suit.
- Enter the rocket.
- Launch into space.
- Travel to the selected celestial body.
- Explore and collect resources.
This system expands Minecraft beyond the Overworld, Nether, and End and introduces a new form of exploration based on planetary travel.
