Description

Civilizations brings living societies into your world — each with their own settlements, structures, and way of life. Right now that means Villagers and Illagers, with more civilizations planned down the road. Everything's built to slot into vanilla generation, so it won't feel bolted on.
Features
- Fits into vanilla world generation, no resource pack or datapack conflicts
- A handful of new Villager structures
- A handful of new Illager structures
- Spawns are tied to specific biomes, not just scattered randomly
- Every structure has its own loot table
- Generated with jigsaw blocks for variation
- Made for people who like wandering off the beaten path
Villager Structures
Not every villager sticks to the square. These are the ones you find outside it — farmers, shepherds, lumberjacks, and the odd trader passing through.
Biomes: Plains
| Structure | Description | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| ●Farmer House | Home of the Farmer Villager, usually planted right next to their fields. | Common |
| ●Shepherd Hut | It's small, it's cramped, and yeah, it smells like sheep. | Common |
| ●Lumberjack Cabin | Where the Lumberjack Villager hangs their axe when the day's done. | Common |
| ●Trading Post | Just a roadside stop, but worth the detour if you spot one. | Rare |
| ●Villager Watchtower (x2) | Keeps watch over the nearby settlements — nothing gets past unnoticed. | Common |
Illager Structures
Camps, barracks, lookouts — none of them friendly. Come prepared or come back later.
Biomes: Taiga, Dark Forest
| Structure | Description | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| ◆Vindicator Cabin | Sits out on its own, and it's not empty. Don't walk in without a plan. | Uncommon |
| ◆Illager Watchtower (x2) | A military lookout — chances are they'll spot you before you spot them. | Common |
| ◆Illager Campsite | A temporary camp — and it's always defended, so don't expect an easy loot run. | Rare |
| ◆Pillager Training Grounds | This is where the crossbow drills happen. Loudly, and often. | Common |
| ◆Evoker Tower | A frozen lookout tower housing an Evoker and its Pillager guards — tight quarters, so try not to get cornered. | Rare |

Loot
Each structure has its own loot table, tuned to fit the theme without breaking survival balance.

This is the first release — the groundwork for the whole Civilizations idea. A handful of structures to start with, all handcrafted, built for the latest Minecraft version. More on the way.
Planned
- More structures overall
- Variants for other biomes
- New civilization types beyond Villagers and Illagers
- Bigger, more sprawling settlements
- Extra variants of existing structures
Update Schedule
Here's roughly how updates work, so you know what to expect and when:
- Each cycle gets 3-5 major updates (about 2-3 weeks each) and 3-5 minor updates (about 1-2 weeks each) — a mix of new structures, fixes, and balance changes.
- Once that run of updates wraps up, there's a one-week community vote to decide what's built next.
- After the vote, the mod goes quiet for 2-4 months — that's when the winning expansion actually gets built.
- Once it's ready, the winning expansion ships, and the next cycle starts right after.
It's not a dead mod during the quiet stretch — that's just build time. Vote results decide what's coming, so if you want a say in what gets added, keep an eye out for the next voting window.
