Justify Portal Gun
Portal guns with animated Default and Realistic models, seamless portals, object carrying, and physical Companion Cubes.
Justify Portal Gun brings fully functional portals and Portal-inspired mechanics into Minecraft, with a strong focus on visual quality, smooth animations, physics, and customization.
Fire linked portals onto supported surfaces and move seamlessly between them. Carry objects using the portal gun, interact with physical Companion Cubes, zoom in on distant objects, and customize both the weapon and portal rendering to match your setup.
Portal Gun
The mod includes multiple portal gun models, including a highly detailed ultra-realistic model with advanced animations and rendering.
You can switch between available models and customize how the portal gun is displayed through the mod's client settings.
To open the client settings, first assign the corresponding key in Minecraft's Controls menu.
Object Carrying
The portal gun can also be used to pick up and manipulate objects.
Default controls:
- G — pick up an object
- Right Mouse Button — push the held object away
- Left Mouse Button — place / release the held object
- Middle Mouse Button — toggle zoom
- Mouse Wheel while zoomed — adjust zoom level
Key bindings can be changed through Minecraft's controls menu.
Portals
Portals are rendered as seamless openings rather than simple teleportation blocks, allowing you to see and move through the connected space naturally.
Their appearance can be customized in the mod's client settings, including portal rendering options and visual behavior.
The mod also supports Kappa Shaders 5.3. When used together, Kappa's lighting and rendering make the portal effect blend especially well with the surrounding world.
Justify Lasers Integration
Justify Portal Gun can optionally be used together with Justify Lasers.
When both mods are installed, laser beams and hard-light bridges from Justify Lasers can pass through portals, allowing you to build much more complex optical systems, puzzles, traps, and mechanisms.
Justify Lasers is not required to use Justify Portal Gun.
Client Settings
The mod includes extensive client-side configuration options.
You can configure:
- Portal gun model
- Portal gun rendering and display
- Portal rendering
- Visual quality settings
- GPU memory usage
- Other rendering-related options
The ultra-realistic portal gun model can also be enabled here.
GPU Rendering
Justify Portal Gun makes extensive use of the GPU and video memory (VRAM) to render its models and portal effects.
More complex rendering options can require a significant amount of video memory, especially when using high-quality models, multiple visible portals, or shaders.
The amount of VRAM the mod is allowed to use can be configured in the client settings, allowing you to balance visual quality and performance for your hardware.
