⚡ Justify Lasers — Major Tech Update
This is one of the biggest updates to Justify Lasers so far.
Lasers are no longer just configurable beams — they can now become a full part of your Minecraft tech setup, complete with energy consumption, upgrade modules, mining, damage, block interaction, security settings, and much more.
🔧 Forge, NeoForge & Minecraft 1.21.1
Justify Lasers now supports:
-
Forge
-
NeoForge
-
Minecraft 1.21.1
The mod is gradually moving toward deeper integration with Minecraft tech mods and energy systems.
⚡ Powered Lasers
There are now two types of Laser Emitters:
Creative Laser Emitter
The classic unrestricted emitter intended for Creative Mode, building, testing, and experimentation.
Powered Laser Emitter
A new craftable version of the Laser Emitter designed for Survival and technical modpacks.
The Powered Laser Emitter requires energy to operate and can receive power from compatible energy sources, including systems such as Forge Energy.
You can connect:
-
Energy cables
-
Generators
-
Batteries and energy storage
-
Other compatible power sources
This makes lasers much easier to integrate into factories, bases, laboratories, automated systems, traps, and other technical Minecraft builds.
🖥️ New Laser Emitter GUI
Laser Emitters now have a redesigned configuration system with a dedicated GUI.
Instead of being just a simple beam, the emitter can now be upgraded and configured for different purposes using modules.
Depending on the installed modules, additional settings and controls become available.
🧩 Upgrade Modules
A completely new module system has been added.
Modules can change how the laser looks, how far it reaches, how it interacts with blocks, and even how it affects mobs.
🌈 Color Modules
Color Modules allow you to change the color of the laser beam.
Use them to build colorful laser grids, laboratories, security systems, decorative installations, or simply match the beam to your build.
🧊 Silk Touch Module
Allows the laser to mine blocks as if it were using a tool enchanted with Silk Touch.
Blocks that normally drop a different item can instead be collected in their original form.
📦 Drop Module
When this module is installed, blocks destroyed by the laser will drop their items instead of simply disappearing.
Useful for automated mining systems and resource collection.
🔥 Burn Mark Module
Allows the laser to leave visible burn marks on block surfaces.
Perfect for making powerful lasers actually feel powerful — especially when combined with shaders.
📏 Range Module
Increases the maximum configurable length of the laser beam.
Each module adds 1 block of beam range.
The more Range Modules you install, the farther the laser can reach.
📡 Range Module II
A more powerful version of the standard Range Module.
Each Range Module II adds 8 blocks of beam range.
Designed for large factories, massive laser barriers, long-distance systems, and bigger technical builds.
↔️ Beam Thickness Module
Allows the laser beam to become thicker.
Installing additional modules increases the available beam thickness even further.
Useful for anything from thin precision lasers to massive industrial beams.
🔥 Ignition Module
Allows the laser to set creatures on fire.
Important: The Ignition Module requires a Damage Module to function.
Without a Damage Module installed, the laser will not ignite entities.
⛏️ Mining Module
Turns the Laser Emitter into a configurable block-mining device.
Installing this module unlocks a dedicated mining configuration menu where you can control features such as:
-
Mining speed
-
Block breaking behavior
-
Silk Touch
-
Item drops
-
Burn marks
-
And other mining-related settings
This makes it possible to build anything from a small laser drill to part of a larger automated mining system.
⚔️ Damage Module
Allows the laser to damage creatures that touch the beam.
The module also unlocks its own advanced damage configuration menu.
You can configure parameters such as:
-
Damage rate
-
Damage per second
-
Knockback
-
Entity ignition
-
Damage behavior
-
And more
Lasers can now be used as actual defenses, traps, mob-control systems, or dangerous industrial machinery.
🧱 Modules Are Actual Blocks
Upgrade modules aren't just icons hidden inside a menu.
Every module is also a real placeable Minecraft block with its own custom model.
You can place them directly in the world and use them as:
-
Technical decorations
-
Factory components
-
Laboratory equipment
-
Machinery details
-
Sci-fi building blocks
-
Industrial props
Each module has its own design and model, and they look especially good when used with shaders.
So even if you don't need a particular module for its functionality, you can still use it as decoration.
🔒 Laser Privacy
Laser Emitters now include a Privacy setting.
When privacy is enabled, only the owner of the Laser Emitter can interact with it and change its configuration.
Other players will not be able to modify the block.
Useful for multiplayer servers, shared bases, factories, and protected systems.
🏭 Tech Mod Integration
This update is also the beginning of a much larger direction for Justify Lasers.
The mod will gradually receive deeper integration with technical Minecraft mods such as:
-
Mekanism
-
Industrial Upgrade
-
Other energy and technology mods
The goal is to make Justify Lasers feel less like an isolated gadget and more like something that naturally belongs inside a real Minecraft tech modpack.
Connect them to your power network.
Build automated mining systems.
Protect your base.
Create industrial machinery.
Or just build an unnecessarily complicated laser laboratory.
Because that's Minecraft.
✨ And More
This update also contains many smaller changes, improvements, fixes, and internal systems that prepare Justify Lasers for future features.
And this is only the beginning.
More machines, integrations, modules, and laser-related features are planned for future updates. ⚡
