Jumbo Furnace: Better Furnaces

Build Jumbo Furnaces out of Better Furnaces Reforged furnaces, and use every BFR upgrade on them.

This addon connects Jumbo Furnace and Better Furnaces Reforged. Place 27 BFR furnaces in a 3×3×3 cube and they merge into a Jumbo Furnace that smelts at the speed of their tier.

✨ Features

Tiered Jumbo Furnaces

• Build a jumbo furnace from any BFR furnace tier: Copper, Iron, Steel, Gold, Amethyst, Diamond, Platinum, Netherhot, Extreme or Ultimate.
• With all 27 furnaces of the same tier, the jumbo runs at that tier’s speed. If you mix tiers, it runs at the speed of the slowest one.
• The jumbo looks like the furnaces it was built from, and lights up when it’s working.
• Breaking or shearing it gives back the original furnaces.
• Upgrade the whole jumbo in place: right-click it with 27 BFR tier upgrades. Tier upgrades now stack to 64.

Jumbo Forges

• 27 BFR forges make a Jumbo Forge with 27 input, 27 fuel and 27 output slots.
• It smelts 3 items at once by default, plus 3 more for each Jumbo Furnace multiprocessing upgrade.
• It stores 3× the liquid fuel, energy, water and XP of a jumbo furnace.

All BFR upgrades

The upgrade slots match BFR’s own blocks: 3 on a jumbo furnace, and 6 plus the heater slot on a jumbo forge.

• ⛽ Fuel Efficiency and Ore Processing (all versions)
• 🔥 Blasting / Smoking mode
• 🪣 Liquid Fuel: burn lava or other liquid fuels, shown in BFR’s own fuel tank
• ⚡ Energy: run on FE, with BFR’s energy bar
• 🧪 XP Tank: store smelting XP and collect it whenever you like
• ⚙️ Generator: burn fuel and water to make FE, with its own generator screen
• 🏭 Factory, Auto Input, Auto Output, Piping, Redstone Signal: BFR’s side settings window, to choose which side is input, output or fuel
• 🎨 Color: tint the whole jumbo with BFR’s colour picker

Liquid fuel, energy, water and XP stay inside the upgrade item, so nothing is lost when you take an upgrade out.

Jade support (optional)

With Jade installed, looking at a jumbo shows its upgrades, liquid fuel, energy, water and stored XP.

Configurable

Tier speeds, tank and energy sizes, generator output, jumbo forge settings and more are in config/jumbofurnacebfr-common.toml.

📦 Requirements

• Better Furnaces Reforged
• Optional: Jade

The Storage upgrade isn’t used, because jumbos already have 9 or 27 slots of each kind.
