Your voice. Your cursed technique.

What the mod adds

• Voice-controlled techniques. Available cursed-technique names are read from JujutsuCraft. Your technique, unlocks, cursed energy and JJC's normal casting conditions still matter.
• Spoken incantations. Charge supported techniques by reciting their chants, then say the technique's name to release them. An unfinished active charging cast releases at its current charge after a short pause: four seconds by default.
• Manga-style speech bubbles. Player chants and supported NPC incantations appear above their speakers, with different presentation for ordinary lines, finishers and domains.
• Voice chat integration. Use Simple Voice Chat when it is installed on the client and server, or the addon's built-in proximity voice without it.
• Local speech recognition. The English speech model is bundled. No speech-service account, API key or separate model download is needed.
• Volume-sensitive chanting. Shouting can strengthen configured techniques, with Inumaki enabled by default. Quiet chants can keep their speech bubbles private.
• Domains affect your words. Supported enemy domains can scramble, interrupt or alter your chants and their bubbles. Chanting during a clash in your own domain can build temporary strength stacks.

Included incantations cover Blue, Red, Hollow Purple, Dismantle, Furnace/Open, Jacob's Ladder and Mahoraga's summoning ritual. Kurourushi also has his repeated Blinding invocation. Other available techniques can be called by their English names.

Angel: recite all four prayer lines in order for full charge. Repeating “O Light” or skipping a line does not complete the prayer.

Jacob's Ladder.

Mahoraga: “With this sacred treasure. I summon. Eight Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga.” Use the summoning words and the long technique name. Calling only “Mahoraga” is not a summon command.

More than spell names

• Command your summons: look at a target and say “Attack”, or call your summons back with “Come back” or “Return”. Commands can also include a summon's name.
• Travel with Nue: “Nue carry me” lets your nearby owned Nue carry you. Use the command again to dismount.
• Pull with Toad: “Toad grab” or “Toad pull” makes your owned Toad pull an aimed-at target toward you.
• Geto's stored curses: call a stored spirit by name, or use “Unleash all” / “Release all”.
• Yuta's copied techniques: copied-technique items in your inventory can be called by name when their normal JJC requirements are met.
• Equip items by voice: call a carried cursed tool or eligible custom-named item by its name to equip it.
• Speak in court: when Judgeman asks for your plea, answer with words such as “Innocent”, “Guilty” or “Silence”. The trial and verdict still use JujutsuCraft's rules.

Requirements & setup

This release targets Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge and JujutsuCraft version 51.

• Jujutsu Craft by Orca — required.
• GeckoLib and playerAnimator — install the Forge 1.20.1 versions required by JujutsuCraft.
• Simple Voice Chat — optional integration; use its Forge 1.20.1 version.

For multiplayer, install Jujutsu Craft Chanting on the server and the clients. Use matching mod versions. For singleplayer, install it in your normal Forge instance.

Join a world, select an available technique and speak its name in English. On first use, allow a moment for the bundled model to unpack and load. Keybinds can be changed in Minecraft's Controls menu.

Having trouble with a phrase? Open calibration, select the phrase and record it three times with a pause between each take. Without Simple Voice Chat, the settings also provide microphone selection, a microphone test and voice-volume controls. With Simple Voice Chat active, use its microphone settings.

Prefer typing? Recognized phrases can also be entered in chat when the server's chat-casting setting is enabled.

Easter eggs — spoilers ahead

These interactions depend on the right character, technique or situation. They do not unlock every ability just because you know a quote.

Todo's very important interview

Get close to Todo and he may ask what kind of woman is your type. An answer such as “A tall woman with a big butt” can earn you a very enthusiastic “BROTHER!!!” and his friendship. A boring answer may earn you a fight instead.

There is also a special “A MAN OF CULTURE. BROTHER!!!” response for "secret".

Choso recognizes family

While using Yuji's technique, stand near Choso and say “Brother” or “Big brother”. He can become your ally. Big brother is here.

Rika has opinions

With your owned Rika nearby as Yuta, say “Rika, I love you” for a loving response and temporary combat buffs for her. She also reacts when you are hurt and occasionally speaks on her own.

Spend too long talking near another player and she may get jealous. Her jealousy respects PvP restrictions and can be disabled by the server.

Catchphrases with consequences

• Naoya: during Top Speed Punch, say “You ain't no Toji” to release the attack.
• Todo: during Plus Ultra, say “Black Flash” to finish the rush.
• Hakari: “Let's gamble” calls his Doors technique.
• Yuki: “Black Hole” is a special Star Rage invocation. It requires JujutsuCraft's Black Hole unlock outside Creative mode.
• Kurourushi: “Blinding Blinding Blinding” invokes Earthen Insect Trance. “Blind Blind Blind” and “Blindness Blindness Blindness” are accepted variants.

Your awakening moment

The right quote can trigger a temporary awakening with healing, cursed-energy recovery and buffs. Use the matching active technique and meet its condition:

Awakenings share a server-configurable cooldown of five minutes by default. Dying does not reset it. Rika's separate love boost has its own cooldown.

For servers & modpacks

Server settings control keyboard charging, quick casting, voice-only ability activation, chant timeouts, shout bonuses, voice range, chat casting, awakening cooldowns and Rika's jealousy. Basic attacks remain available when voice-only ability activation is enabled.

Incantations, aliases and awakening definitions can be customized through datapacks. Native JujutsuCraft unlocks and casting requirements still apply.

A few useful answers

Do I need an internet connection for recognition?
No. Speech recognition runs locally using the bundled English model. Proximity voice chat still transmits your voice to the server and nearby players when enabled.

Does changing Minecraft's language change the spoken commands?
The speech system uses English commands. Use calibration for phrases it struggles to recognize.

Can shouting give me techniques I have not unlocked?
No. The addon uses the techniques and conditions available to your character in JujutsuCraft.
