Inventory Enhancements 1.1.10 — Minecraft 26.3
Automatic selected-hotbar refill
Automatically refills an exhausted selected hotbar slot after server-side placement, item use, completed consumption, mining or weapon use. This includes non-stackable blocks and replacement tools/weapons.
- Searches main inventory slots 9–35 first, then other hotbar slots 0–8 from left to right, excluding the selected slot. Moves the entire first matching stack into the selected slot without changing selection. Offhand and armor are never reserve sources.
- Matches item and all components exactly, including enchantments, custom names, potion data, container contents and maximum durability. Current damage is the only ignored component for damageable items; the replacement retains its actual wear.
- Keeps bowls, empty bottles, buckets and other nonempty remainders in the hand. Does not refill on manual drops/moves, partial consumption or selection changes.
- Skips creative/spectator/dead players, open external containers, carried cursor stacks and grouped-storage overlays/anchors. Does not unpack grouped stacks.
- Server-authoritative refill: no client-supplied inventory changes. Multiplayer servers must have this version installed; client-only installation cannot enable it on another server.
- Enabled by default. Server owners can set
autoRefillSelectedHotbar=falseinconfig/inventoryenhancements-server.propertiesand restart. This separate file does not replace the existing client sorting settings.
Existing sorting, storage and guidebook settings remain unchanged. This release targets Minecraft 26.3; keep compatible builds in 26.2 profiles.
Quick Stack Nearby
- Adds a chest-icon button to the player inventory heading, beside the sort-lock control. Container screens retain their existing two Quick Stack arrows and lock control.
- Deposits matching inventory/hotbar items into storage whose block centers are within a spherical fifteen-block radius in all directions, including vertically. Includes ordinary/trapped chests, barrels, shulker boxes, hoppers, dispensers and droppers. Nearest eligible containers are filled first. Empty containers do not attract items; the item type must already be present, matching existing Quick Stack behavior. Stacks merge only when their components match.
- Preserves grouped-stack handling and container insertion limits. Never moves armor/offhand items or puts shulker boxes inside shulker boxes. Full or inaccessible containers are skipped without consuming items.
- Checks locks, lid obstruction, world interaction permissions and Server Enhancements protection. Both halves of a double chest must be loaded, in range and accessible; it is processed only once. Unopened loot containers are skipped. The scan enumerates block entities in already-loaded chunks and does not load absent chunks.
- The server determines locations and transfers. Requests contain only the active menu ID and are rejected for invalid menus, occupied cursors, creative/spectator players and rapid repeat clicks. Both client and server need this build for the new button; unsupported servers leave it disabled.
- Compatible-storage scope is the supported vanilla container types above, including their ordinary variants. Arbitrary modded containers and third-party claims are not automatically integrated. Protection mods can deny access through NearbyStorageAccess.CHECK; unknown Server Enhancements protection APIs fail closed.
Quick Stack Bypass
- Alt + right-click any player main-inventory or hotbar cell to toggle Quick Stack Bypass, including empty cells. A gold star appears at the cell's top-right and disappears when disabled. Either Alt key works. The gesture does not pick up, place or split items.
- Marked cells are excluded from Quick Stack Nearby and both container arrows, in either transfer direction. Excluded destination cells also do not supply matching-item eligibility. Ordinary manual inventory moves, sorting and automatic refill keep their existing behavior.
- Bypass belongs to the cell index, not its contents. Replacing, moving or consuming an item does not move or remove the cell's bypass.
- Stars appear in inventory/container screens, Creative inventory and hotbar cells, and the in-game hotbar. Creative catalogue entries, armor, offhand and crafting cells are not player cargo cells.
- The server owns the settings, keyed by the player's server UUID. Settings persist across reconnects, client/profile changes and server restarts. Each server/world keeps its own independent set: HUB and Vanilla do not share bypass settings.
- Saved under
<world>/inventoryenhancements/quick-stack-bypass/<player-uuid>.dat. Include this directory in world backups. Each acknowledged toggle is written and forced to disk before atomic replacement. No credentials, external database or shared-server configuration is needed. A save error preserves the prior state and displays an error; unreadable state blocks Quick Stack for that player until repaired. - Both client and server need this build. The client renders only server-confirmed state and clears it on disconnect. The server validates menu, slot ownership, player state and request rate; requests cannot name another player or supply inventory contents.
This single 1.1.10 release combines both previously unreleased refill revisions, Quick Stack Nearby and Quick Stack Bypass on top of published 1.1.9. It supersedes the interim 1.1.11 candidate; there is no separate 1.1.11 release in this staging set.
