0. Used Terms
"Mojang" - Mojang AB
"Minecraft" - Game produced by Mojang.
"Mod" - Modification, plug-in, a piece of software (and related assets) that interfaces with the Minecraft client and/or server to extend, add, change or remove original capabilities.
"Owner" - Original author of the Mod (who goes my the name of "Emoniph" on the Minecraft Forums and Curse Forge websites). Under the copyright terms accepted when purchasing Minecraft (https://account.mojang.com/documents/minecraft_eula) the Owner has full rights over their Mod, in both binary and source form, despite use of Mojang code.
"User" - End user of the Mod.
"Modpack" - Compilation of mods provided by a third-party.
1. Purpose
This license is intended to provide a simple set of rules and guidelines for users of the Mod while also protecting the Owner's intellectual property. By associating the Mod with this license, the Owner asserts copyright on the Mod and all of its associated assets. All Users of the Mod must adhere to the terms that follow. The User agrees to all policies defined herein upon downloading (or acquiring via a modpack or otherwise) the Mod, in-part or in-full.
2. Liability
THIS MOD IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' WITH NO WARRANTIES, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE. THE OWNER OF THIS MOD TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES INCURRED FROM THE USE OF THIS MOD. THIS MOD ALTERS FUNDAMENTAL PARTS OF THE MINECRAFT GAME, PARTS OF MINECRAFT MAY NOT WORK WITH THIS MOD INSTALLED. ALL DAMAGES CAUSED FROM THE USE OR MISUSE OF THIS MOD FALL ON THE USER.
3. Redistribution / Modpacks
This Mod may only be distributed where uploaded, mirrored, or otherwise linked to by the Owner solely. The Mod binaries, may be bundled with other mods and provided to the public in a compilation, known commonly as a Modpack, so long as the Modpack provides visible credit to the Owner, including a link to an information site owned or maintained by the Owner. A Modpack utilizing this Mod must additionally make no modifications to, or claims of ownership of, the Mod’s code, file structure, assets, or binaries. All troubleshooting for the Mod within a Modpack is solely the responsibility of the Modpack's owner. Any and all attempts to make money from the Mod, its distribution, or redistribution (as part of a Modpack or otherwise) are strictly forbidden. The Owner can withdraw the right to include the Mod in a designated Modpack, given thirty days written notice, after which the creator of the Modpack will no longer have the right to include the Mod in any Modpack they are associated with, in which the Mod is not already present, without prior written agreement from the Owner.
4. Derivative Works / Modification
This Mod may not be decompiled, reproduced (in-full or in-part), reverse-engineered and/or modified, whether digitally or physically, under any circumstances, without written permission from the Owner.
5. Videos / Streaming
This Mod may be featured within videos or streaming media running in the context of Minecraft, so long as visible credit is given to the Owner, and no alternate claims of ownership are made. Such videos and/or streams may be monetized to the extent allowed by the license agreement for Minecraft.
