Hostile mobs randomly spawn with Diablo-style modifiers. Beat them for better loot.
This is a Fabric port of AtomicStryker's Infernal Mobs, maintained by the AndyCaper Team (Heet & Torno) for Minecraft 26.2.
How it works
Any hostile mob can spawn with one or more special abilities. The more abilities a mob has, the more dangerous it is and the better its drops.
| Tier | Default chance | Loot |
|---|---|---|
| Rare | 1 in 15 hostile mobs | Iron tools and armor, chainmail, cookies |
| Ultra | 1 in 7 Rare mobs (+3 to 4 modifiers) | Gold armor, golden apples, blaze powder, enchanted books |
| Infernal | 1 in 7 Ultra mobs (+3 to 4 more) | Diamond gear, diamonds, ender pearls, enchanted books |
Infernal mobs get a name built from their modifiers, like "Thundering Zombie of Twin Lives". A boss bar shows the name, modifiers and health of the mob you're looking at.
Modifiers
There are 28 modifiers, and each one can be turned on or off:
- 1UP: heals back up once when close to death

Configuration
The config file is created on first launch at config/InfernalMobs-common.toml. Every setting comes with a comment that gives its default and allowed range. With Mod Menu installed, you can also edit the config in game.
Some of the settings:
- Spawn chances for each tier
- Health and ability cooldown multipliers, and a damage cap for modifiers that deal or reflect damage
- Loot tables for each tier (item stacks in SNBT format)
- Which modifiers are enabled, which mobs can get them, and which mobs always spawn with them
- Blacklists by dimension and by entity tag
- An optional anti mob farm check
- An option to hide the boss bar
Commands (operators only)
/spawninfernal <pos> <entity> <modifiers>: spawns a mob with the modifiers you choose/feclass <name>: finds the entity class names that match a search
