Greetings to everyone on the release of update 3.3! This is the last major update for version 1.12.2. From now on, the mod will only be updated for newer versions of Minecraft. The plan is to transition to versions 1.16.5–1.21.1, starting with 1.19.2–1.21.1, followed by 1.16.5–1.18.2.
Here are the answers to frequently asked questions:
What happened with the mod and IC2?
Answer: The reason is the monopoly of the ICDev team, especially the developer sfPlayer. All the reasons why there are no new versions, why the old style of the mod won’t return, and why integrations were removed—thank them, not me.
Why are the updates so big?
Answer: These updates should have been released a long time ago. However, the initial idea was much smaller, and as more resources became available, I decided to create a well-developed version rather than a great idea with poor execution.
The old versions were better! Bring them back!
Answer: I understand your concerns and preferences, but I can't bring back the old versions (as explained in question 1). Some people dislike the new versions because there is a lot of content—currently, the mod includes around 4500–5000 blocks and items, plus numerous mechanics. The entire mod documentation is available in-game through blocks, items, and JEI/One Probe (TOP Addons). Use them, read, explore—everything is there. If you have questions, feel free to ask in Discord.
What about the new versions?
Answer: The gameplay in newer versions will remain the same as in 1.12.2. There will be no content or mechanic losses—the mod will be fully ported to the new versions.
