Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Immersive Smithing 1.1.1
New Weapon Compatibility, Vanilla UI Overhaul & Crafting Fixes
Epic Fight & Simply Swords Support
- Full optional compatibility with Epic Fight and Simply Swords, individually or together. Supports Epic Fight's longswords, greatswords, tachis, daggers, spears and gloves, plus every Simply Swords weapon type.
- New anvil patterns: Twinblade, Warglaive and Chakram, alongside 17 weapon-type tags for broader mod compatibility.
- Improved quality bonuses: Weapon quality now correctly affects Epic Fight's normal and battle modes, main-hand and off-hand attacks, Simply Swords abilities and thrown weapons, without applying bonuses twice.
- Loot weapon quality: Epic Fight's Uchigatana and Simply Swords' Runic and Unique weapons can receive quality grades and be refined at the Grindstone. Unique weapons cannot be recycled by default, while Runic weapons recycle based on their original Netherite weapon.
- Original progression preserved: Runic upgrades, rerolls and Unique weapon acquisition remain unchanged.
- Configurable integrations: Both integrations are enabled by default and can be independently disabled.
- Compatibility documentation: See
docs/compat/WEAPONS.mdfor supported weapons, recipes, costs, patterns, quality and recycling. Use/immersivesmithing catalog <modid>to generate a compatibility report for any installed mod.
Forging, Recipes & Recycling
- Fixed discounted metal recycling: Newly forged equipment now remembers its actual metal cost, preventing players from recycling discounted items for more metal than they originally spent. This persists through repairs and remakes, even with quality inheritance disabled. Older equipment retains its previous recycling value.
- More accurate recipe requirements: Discounted recipes now correctly identify missing materials or progression requirements instead of incorrectly reporting insufficient metal.
- Improved recipe compatibility: Only crafting and smithing recipes directly replaced by Immersive Smithing are disabled. Unrelated recipes and special mechanics, including Simply Swords' Runic rerolls, remain intact.
- Correct material detection: Weapons are forged using their primary repair material rather than decorative fittings. Existing weapons used as crafting ingredients are also handled correctly.
- Better equipment reworking: Crafting upgrades and transformations preserve quality where appropriate, along with enchantments, custom names, lore, durability and other modded data. Data preservation is enabled by default through
keep_base_data. - Improved quality inheritance: Crafting previews now display inherited quality when enabled. Smithing-table upgrades and rerolls always preserve existing quality, regardless of the crafting inheritance setting.
- More consistent recipe detection: Recipe conversion remains reliable after datapack reloads, configuration changes and restarts, without losing original recipes.
- Expanded loot quality: Eligible weapons can receive quality grades even without forge recipes, using the new
immersive_smithing:quality_eligibletag. - Grindstone improvements: Previously ungraded equipment starts at Standard quality when successfully refined, with the grade recorded only after payment. Refinement costs now accurately account for player discounts and modifiers.
- Safer crafting costs: Reworked equipment is assembled from reserved ingredients before metal is charged, preventing incorrect deductions.
Vanilla UI Overhaul
- Complete visual redesign: All workshop interfaces now use Minecraft's vanilla styling, replacing the previous Stoneborn theme.
- Updated minigames: Forge selection, forging, anvil gameplay and Maker's Mark screens now feature vanilla-style panels, buttons, slots and controls. Maker's Mark also includes character counters.
- Redesigned Smithing Guide: Now resembles a Minecraft written book, with familiar pages, navigation arrows and page numbers. Chapter navigation and search automatically adapt to smaller screens.
- Improved JEI integration: Recipe displays now use JEI's native slots and arrows.
- Cleaner layouts: The forge interface dynamically resizes while working, and recipes display clearer costs and remaining materials, such as "Costs 3 ingots · 9 ingots left."
- Removed legacy styling: Old Stoneborn interface assets and code have been removed, with checks to prevent their accidental return.
Technical & Multiplayer Improvements
- Accurate Jade tooltips: The Smith's Grindstone now displays server-verified refinement costs specific to each player, item and station. Outdated quotes automatically expire.
- Network protocol updated to 3: Multiplayer servers and clients must both update to version 1.1.1.
- New compatibility tags: Added
immersive_smithing:weapon_scaled_projectilesfor thrown-weapon quality scaling, alongside weapon-type and quality-eligibility tags. - Improved mod safety: Epic Fight and Simply Swords integrations are completely optional and have no effect when their respective mods are absent or integrations are disabled.
