Hunger Overflow overhauls Minecraft's food mechanics with one simple but powerful change:
- When eating food would exceed your 20-point hunger limit:
- Excess hunger points convert directly into saturation
- Your hunger caps at 20 (normal maximum)
- Your saturation increases by:
- Normal food saturation value +
- 100% of excess hunger points +
- Standard saturation multiplier
- Saturation still caps at 20 (normal maximum)
Example: At 18 hunger eating steak (8 hunger points):
Excess hunger = (18 + 8) - 20 = 6
New hunger = 20
New saturation = Old saturation + (8 Γ 0.8 Γ 2) + 6
