Hotbar Restock

Hotbar Restock is a small quality-of-life mod that automatically refills a hotbar slot when you use the last item in a stack.

If you place your last block, use your last torch, eat the last piece of food, or throw the last item from a stack, the mod looks for another matching stack in your inventory and moves it into the same hotbar slot.

That's pretty much it.

There are no menus, keybinds, commands, or configuration files. Install the mod and it just works.

If several matching stacks are available, smaller partial stacks are used first.

Items are matched together with their item data/components, so different versions of the same item are not mixed together.

Hotbar Restock only uses items from your normal player inventory. It does not pull items from Shulker Boxes, Bundles, Ender Chests, nearby containers, or other storage blocks.
