Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Historical Telegraph 4.0.0 — Recipient Routing
Messages no longer go to every machine on the line. You now choose who receives them.
Added
- Recipient list in the telegraph GUI. Right-click a machine and you'll see every station it can reach over cable — tick the ones that should get your message.
- Each entry shows the station's name, channel, cable length and signal quality. Unnamed machines show as
Unnamed Station (x, y, z)so you can still tell them apart. - Stations on a different channel are marked in red — you can see they won't receive it before you hit Send.
- All / None buttons and a scrollable list for large networks.
- Your selection is saved to the machine, so you set a route once instead of every time you send.
Changed
- Send feedback now reports how many stations actually received the message.
- The station name is applied immediately when you send, instead of only when the GUI closes — outgoing telegrams are stamped with the name you just typed.
- Turkish translation completed (relay station, telegraph pole, insulator and the station name field were missing).
Note Network protocol version was bumped. Client and server must both be on 4.0.0 — mixed versions will be rejected on join.
Machines placed before this update keep broadcasting to everyone until you set a route on them, so existing worlds and lines keep working as they are.
