Hero Quests 4.1.0 – Full Fabric & Wildlife Update

Major Changes

• Converted Hero Quests into a complete Full-Fabric mod.

• Integrated the former Visuals, V2 and Hero Pets content into one clean JAR.

• Removed Geyser and vanilla fallback systems.

• The mod must now be installed on the server and all players’ clients.

New Wildlife

• Added animated raccoons.

• Added five different owl variants.

• Added animated reindeer.

• Reindeer only spawn in taiga, snowy and other cold regions.

• Wildlife populations are limited to prevent overcrowding.

• Added administrator spawn eggs for all new animals.

Otter Improvements

• Otters can now be tamed using raw fish.

• Tamed otters can be attached to leads.

• Otters follow their owner.

• Owners can command their otter to lie down or follow.

• Added a custom lying animation.

• Removed permanent nameplates above wild otters.

Visual & Animation Overhaul

• Reworked Ignevar’s attacks with custom animated effects.

• Improved Ignevar’s glowing appearance and boss presentation.

• Replaced vanilla particle conversions for artifact attacks.

• Added custom effects for forging, artifact infusion, revival and boss phases.

• Improved custom item animations, sounds and visual feedback.

• Fixed the small unwanted boxes surrounding menu tabs.

• Improved RPG menus and overlays across the mod.

Stability Fixes

• Fixed entity-rendering crashes caused by unsafe Armor Stand renderer conversions.

• Fixed the Ignevar and merchant GeckoLib renderer state crashes.

• Custom creatures now use dedicated entity types and renderers.

• Added automated renderer tests for Ignevar, Rischa, otters, wildlife and all Hero Pets.

• Verified all quests, NPC groups, academy locations, spells and encounters.

• Existing quest progress, NPCs, portals, galleries and dimensions remain compatible.
