What's new
Hammers 3x3! 2.2 — Minecraft 1.20.4 (NeoForge)
Hammers 3x3! 2.2 — changes since 2.1.5.
New
- Copper Hammer and Enhanced Copper Hammer, with recipes.
- Area preview: right-click with a hammer to switch on a blueprint-style outline of every block your next swing will break (it follows Seismic Shift, Tunneler and Vein Crusher). Your choice is remembered.
- Six new hammer enchantments:
- Tunneler I–II: mines 2 or 3 blocks deep.
- Magnetism: drops and XP fly straight to you.
- Molten Core: smelts what you mine (not together with Silk Touch).
- Vein Crusher: also mines the rest of an ore vein you hit (up to 32 blocks).
- Radiance: the hammer glows and lights up the area around you like a torch.
- Thunderstrike (treasure): right-click to strike the mob you're looking at (up to 24 blocks away) with lightning: 30 damage, 3 s cooldown, 8 durability. It costs you a heart unless you wear an iron or chainmail armour piece.
- Thunderstrike + Radiance = Crimson Thunder: red lightning, 50 damage, sets the target on fire, 4.5 s cooldown, 4 durability, only half a heart of recoil.
Changed
- Balanced mining: a swing digs as slowly as the hardest block it will break, so mining one stone no longer rips out the obsidian around it in a second. Sneak to mine a single block at normal speed.
- Hitting a block a pickaxe wouldn't mine (dirt, wood…) breaks just that block, no area.
- The 3×3 always lines up with the side of the block you hit.
- Every block of a swing respects claims and protection mods, spawn protection and adventure mode.
- Waystones and waypoint blocks are never broken by the area; server owners can protect any other block with the
hammers:blacklistblock tag. - Hammers are sorted by tier in the creative tab.
- New tooltip line on every hammer: Right-click to toggle the area preview.
- New icon and description. The mod is now called Hammers 3x3! (was "Hammers Extension!").
Fixed
- The Netherite Hammer and Enhanced Netherite Hammer couldn't be made in the smithing table.
