Furnace Inbox: Smelting Notices

Watch one working furnace and receive a private chat notice when its current input batch finishes. Furnace Inbox observes actual vanilla smelting; it does not speed up cooking or predict a finishing time.

How to use

As an operator with permission level 2, look directly at a vanilla furnace, blast furnace or smoker within five blocks and run /furnaceinbox watch. You can leave its inventory screen closed. Use /furnaceinbox status to inspect your watch or /furnaceinbox cancel to stop it. Each player can watch one furnace at a time, for up to ten game minutes.

The completion message counts successful smelt operations observed after subscribing. It is sent when an actual smelt leaves the input empty. Removing or changing input manually cancels the watch instead of claiming completion. Custom recipes can produce multiple items per operation, so the operation count is not an item count.

A changed stall lasting two game seconds produces a notice explaining missing fuel, an incompatible/full output, or a missing recipe. English and Russian replies follow the player's language setting.

Limits and compatibility

• Minecraft Java 1.21.1, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, Java 21, and Fabric API 0.116.17+1.21.1 or newer.
• Install on the server, or in the client for a local single-player world. Operators only; ordinary non-operator players cannot start a watch.
• A separate network client without Furnace Inbox was tested against an ordinary dedicated server. Fabric API and a QA companion were present in that test client; it is not a claim of testing every unmodified client or modpack.
• Native cooking speed, fuel, inventory, recipes and XP are unchanged. No chunk loading, offline processing, catch-up, automatic fuel supply or output collection.
• The watch ends on chunk unload, block replacement, input change, disconnect, permission loss, server stop or expiry. Watches do not persist or replay after restart.
• A hopper may add more of the same ingredient to the watched batch. Completion means the input was empty at the observed smelt, not that automation cannot refill it later.
• Only vanilla furnace blocks are supported. Mods replacing their behavior are not verified.

Candidate and verification

Version 1.0.0-rc.1 is a release candidate. It passed Gradle build, 18 Minecraft GameTests, a production client, a fresh process restart, and 11 ordinary-server network cases including all three furnace types and real chunk unloading. Project/file approval and a public release are separate steps.

License and material provenance

MIT license, with the license notice included in the JAR. Code and page text were developed with AI assistance. The project icon is an original AI-generated illustration, not a screenshot or an added game block: the bell is a symbol for chat notices. Gameplay images are genuine Minecraft captures from our own worlds; the completion image uses the preserved development prototype, whose nine gameplay classes are identical to this candidate. No other author's code, artwork, video or description was copied.

For a bug report, include the mod version, Minecraft/Fabric versions and relevant log excerpt in the project comments. Remove private information from logs before posting.

Инвентарь печи можно закрыть. /furnaceinbox status показывает наблюдение, /furnaceinbox cancel отменяет его. Одновременно доступна одна подписка на игрока, максимум на десять игровых минут.

Сообщение о завершении приходит после успешной операции плавки, оставившей вход пустым. Ручное удаление или изменение входа отменяет подписку и не считается завершением. Счётчик показывает успешные операции после подписки, а не число произведённых предметов пользовательского рецепта. Изменившаяся задержка длительностью две игровые секунды вызывает сообщение о топливе, выходном слоте или рецепте. Ответы EN/RU зависят от языка игрока.

Скорость, топливо, предметы, рецепты и опыт не изменяются. Чанки принудительно не загружаются; офлайн-плавки, автозаправки и сбора предметов нет. Выгрузка чанка, замена блока, изменение входа, выход игрока, потеря прав, остановка сервера или истечение срока отменяют подписку. После перезапуска она не восстанавливается. Воронка может пополнить вход после замеченного завершения. Поддерживаются ванильные печи; модификации их поведения не проверены.

Кандидат 1.0.0-rc.1 прошёл сборку, 18 Minecraft GameTests, настоящий клиент и новый процесс после сохранения, а также 11 сетевых случаев обычного сервера. Это не подтверждение публикации площадкой.

Лицензия MIT включена в JAR. Код и текст созданы с помощью AI. Иконка — оригинальная AI-иллюстрация, не игровой снимок и не новый блок; колокольчик символизирует сообщения чата. Игровые изображения настоящие, из собственных миров. Снимок завершения сделан с сохранённым прототипом, чьи девять игровых классов совпадают с кандидатом. Чужие материалы не копировались.
