The Frog Dimensions

Experimental
Adds multiple strange dimensions and mechanics including an alternate universe of frogs.
A few regular frogs.

A few regular frogs.

Description

Adds multiple strange dimensions such as:

The Strangelands

A strange forest-like dimension with bizarre creatures and an unusual atmosphere. Beware, it has sinister undertones and is difficult to escape from, but the unique loot may make the trip worth it.

The Layered Dimensions

4 linked dimensions that must be accessed in order, but each has a unique climate. There is no exit to this dimension yet, so bring an enderchest.

The Frog Dimension

A dimension full of frogs and loot. The biggest draw to this dimension would probably be the gift shop which can give enchantments and items seen no where else and the royal frog, which will trade moon chunks for different rewards.

Also adds mechanics including:

  • Random events
Events happen randomly if certain criteria are met. For example normal rain might turn into acid rain or a night could randomly be a dark and stormy night. As you progress through the game, you will be able to experience more types of events, but they will get less frequent overall. You can modify the frequency of events in game rules.
  • Madness
Madness is a soft punishment for staying in certain areas or around certain creatures. It will start out as a mild annoyance, but if left untreated can potentially make your life very difficult. There are certain cases where you might want to increase your madness intentionally. Madness is supposed to be a hidden attribute, but if you want to check or quickly change your madness, the command is /madness.
  • A race system
Races are supposed to be a more balanced change to your game. You start with the choice of 6, but can choose between more later in the game with a surgery station. Each starting race has a few branching races, but there are also secret races that have different requirements, such as being in a certain dimension or having a certain level in a class. You die when you change your race to symbolize reincarnation (actually because I am a bad coder). You can turn off starting races in game rules which is useful for hardcore runs.
  • A class system
Classes are meant to be a post ender dragon absolute positive. They can be added with the skill station. You can have up to 10 levels in one class and 15 class levels in total. Good luck maxing it out though because class levels get progressively more expensive. The first level in any class does nothing so it is most efficient to really only have levels in 1 or 2 classes. At level 10 you get a unique keybind ability. Once you level up a class. It only shows once you die or rejoin the world (same reason as races).
  • An Xp based magic system
When I think of magic in vanilla Minecraft, I think of potions and enchantments. This mod expands on that and attempts to tie them together. Enchantments require experience so the magically items in this mod either also use levels (such as the staffs) or help you get levels (such as the potion of retention and mage class). There are also a variety of new potions and enchantments added to the mod.
  • An alignment system
The alignment system centers around 3 gods: Mario, Uslan, and Yesis. Each one represents different things. The alignment system is mostly in the background and will give you different things depending on which god your actions align with. There are also items that you can get by distilling the essences of different gods.

The Guide book for the mod is crafted with red stone dust, cactus green dye and a book.

The intended experience for the mod is by itself without JEI in order to discover recipes, but JEI is supported and is probably better for the average experience.
