MCPaint 0.3.0 — Welcome to the Studio!

Welcome to the first public release of MCPaint! Gather your supplies, set up an easel, and turn a few humble pixels into a masterpiece—or at least something your friends will politely hang in the village hall.

Create your own artwork

• Craft Small, Medium, and Large Canvases.
• Paint through an easy-to-use pixel-art editor.
• Choose custom canvas dimensions in 16-pixel increments.
• Create artwork as large as 80×80 pixels.
• Save, carry, display, and later continue editing your paintings.
• Hang large paintings across multiple wall blocks.
• Give each painting a custom name that appears when viewed.

Stock your studio

• Brew 16 colors of paint using Minecraft dyes.
• Install colors directly into individual easels.
• Craft reusable Tubes of Paint that supply multiple easels.
• Use four paintbrush sizes, from single-pixel detail work to broad strokes.
• Paint with square, circle, or triangle patterns.
• Unlock shaped brushes using Circle and Triangle Stencils.
• Unlock the Fill Tool by installing a Paint Bucket.

Build a gallery

• Completed artwork retains its pixels, dimensions, and name.
• Remove paintings from walls and place them elsewhere.
• Return an existing painting to an easel whenever inspiration strikes again.
• Share and display original artwork in single-player or multiplayer worlds.

Discover 36 advancements named after classical painters by creating every paint color, every Tube of Paint, and each type of paintbrush.

• Built for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1.
• Requires NeoForge and 64-bit Java 21.
• Supports both single-player and multiplayer.
• No external image files, resource packs, or online services are required.
