Smoldering Flames Update

Version 0.2.0 adds a new smoldering stage for torches.

Torches no longer become fully extinguished instantly. After being extinguished, they now briefly smolder, slowly lose their remaining light, and then turn into their fully extinguished variant.

Added

• New smoldering torch stage
• Gradual fading after extinguishing
• Smoldering visuals for recently extinguished torches
• Smoldering torches drop the matching extinguished torch item when broken

Changed

• Empty-hand extinguishing now feels more natural and atmospheric
• Improved the vanilla+ feel of the core torch extinguishing mechanic

Notes

• Smoldering torches are temporary and not directly obtainable
• Fully extinguished torches can still be relit
• Candles and campfires remain unchanged because they already have vanilla extinguish behavior
