Why was the growing faster with redstone thing removed? Isn't that the whole point of the snad mod?
In reply to DerpDerpingtonIsHere:
I know right that was like the best part of the mod and it has been removed, I am very annoyed
Does Snad grow faster with redsotne Signal?
Did you make 1.18.2 version?
how did you manage to recreate this mod for 1.18 without the need for Architectury, if you dont mind me asking?
In reply to iiKraze:
the architectury was only used to use the same code base in fabric and forge, but the fabric version isn't getting that much downloads so I removed the architectury mod as a dependency.
In reply to lazynessmind:
oh ok i see, well it saves me a mod slot since i try to keep my mod count under 260 mods
I'm sorry but can anyone tell me in short what this mod does?
(I'm sorting through mods from Oceanblock and just wanted to make my own personnal pack that's why i'm here)
In reply to ZackZeed:
It's a port from a old mod that adds the snad block. A normal sand block that makes sugarcane and cactus grow faster. The idea behind its the myth that sugarcane grows faster on snad that on dirt from vanilla Minecraft. I hope it helped.
In reply to lazynessmind:
I had no idea. Sounds neat haha.
Yea i've known about that "myth"? since way back, kinda funny someone made a mod about it.
Thanks for the reply! I'd like to use it then, it's the small things that make a difference amiright?
In reply to ZackZeed:
The old mod that it's based on also added a redstone functionality where you could 'force-grow' the cactus or sugarcane you planted on it by applying a redstone pulse (lever rave, button, clock contraption, clock block from another mod, etc), not sure if that's still in this version or not, last time I checked it wasn't but that was a while ago.
In reply to OmegaX123:
i dont remember that, but I can add it as a configurable feature
Not sure if I'm just missing something but using this in 1.17 I can't plant sugarcane. As far as I can tell I'm not missing any configs so I'm stumped on how to fix it
In reply to ChestnutTheOwl:
are you using some kind of modpack?
In reply to lazynessmind:
I'm using a modpack I cobbled together but I created an instance with just this mod and sugarcane still can't be planted
In reply to ChestnutTheOwl:
That’s weird. Can you open an issue on GitHub , just so I remember it when I get home.
Edit: Fixed on the latest version.
So uhh .. your latest version seems to be wannacry malware?
Edit: To clarify.. windows defender is flagging it as
In reply to 3x1t_5tyl3:
Mine is fine 🤔

Out of curiosity, I uploaded the latest file (snad-1.0.9-forge.jar) to virustotal (runs it through a bunch of antivirus softwares) and none of them flagged it. Ofc it's not a perfect test, but I can pretty confidently say it's safe.

Not sure what happened there, probably windows doing what windows does best- breaking.
In reply to 3x1t_5tyl3:
That ain't wannacry mate , that's a "malware" (it ain't) used to crack apps, u must have downloaded a pirated game or cracked to get that virus pop up, it aint dangerous bozo
