# For The Void 0.1.16 Beta
Packaged after explicit user approval. Forge 1.20.1. Replace the previous For The Void JAR; use matching versions on clients and server.
- Removed passive Reset from the GUI and server action dispatch. Branch Reset remains, with its confirmation and existing cost.
- Saving a different passive loadout, including an empty loadout, starts the existing 20-second cocoon without charging meat. The old loadout stays active until successful completion. Death or dimension cancellation discards the pending selection. Purchases/unlocks are preserved.
- Upgrades panel has a scrollable description with the effect, named unlock requirement and current progress for every passive. Icon hover also names the requirement. The Origin details screen now lists all eleven adaptations and both evolution branches.
- Origins-style beveled frame, purple title strip, larger branch icons, purple/crimson cards, gold selection border, inset progress bars and purple hover sparkle. Minecraft font retained. Small inspector panels scroll instead of truncating unlock descriptions.
- Isolation now counts nearby living creatures, including passive animals, excluding the attacking player, the target, spectators and armor stands. Q, purple outline and ring use this shared condition. Client also rechecks isolation while aiming, avoiding stale highlights after a creature approaches.
- Evolved E landings explicitly cancel fall damage. A one-tick landing handoff handles ordering where landing effects run before the fall event. Protection is consumed once; deploying wings clears it and folding wings does not restore it. Default retains its existing 60% reduction.
Validation: source compilation and deterministic combat/passive checks passed. Added/updated Forge GameTests cover cocoon save/cancellation, removed reset action, nearby passive animals and evolved landing/glide cancellation; these compile but have not run in Forge. Native GUI appearance and actual gameplay still need Minecraft testing. Production JAR compilation, remapping, archive integrity and asset checks passed. Packaged health and all eleven passive descriptions verified.
## Additional balance changes
- Guard Villagers kills grant one point to both Weapon Adaptation and Humanoid unlock counters. Shared OR checks prevent duplicate points if an entity also subclasses a vanilla qualifying type. Thresholds remain 100 and 30. GUI and Origin descriptions include guards.
- Base origin health reduced by 2 HP for every form: Default 10 HP, Assassin 14 HP, Bruiser 18 HP before growth. Existing Bruiser growth remains +4 HP per rank.
