Every food hides a power. The first time you eat a food, you gain a permanent power. Which food gives which power is shuffled in every world: nobody knows in advance, you have to taste to find out!
How it works
- 🍎 First bite, new power. Every food in the game gives a permanent power the first time you eat it. Eating it again gives nothing more.
- 🎲 A unique game in every world. The food → power mapping is randomized for each world, with a seed you can choose.
- ✨ Five rarities. Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary… and Curse. Precious foods (golden apples, cake…) hide the best powers. Dubious ones (rotten flesh…) are a gamble: a legendary power or a curse.
- 📖 Food codex. Press G to see every food: eaten, left to eat, still unknown.
- 🃏 Reveal cards. Each discovery gets its own animated card, and other players get a notification.
- 🎒 Inventory bubbles. Hover your powers in the inventory to see what they do, which food gave them and their cooldown.
34 powers and 6 curses
A few of them, without spoiling everything:
- Double Jump, Dash, Glider, Teleport, Recall to get around
- Fireball, Lightning, Shockwave, Explosive Kills, Giant Slayer to fight
- Time Stop, Flight, Second Life, Divine Forge among the legendaries
- Curses such as Vertigo (inverted controls after taking damage), Holey Pockets or Surprise Guest…
Tap R to use your selected active power, hold R to pick another one from the power wheel.
The final fight
The Ender Dragon gains a power for every food nobody has eaten: +2% health and +1% damage per food, then enraged Endermen at 10 powers, reborn crystals at 20 and a lightning storm at 30. Taste everything before you go to the End!
Make it your game
When a new world starts, the host picks the rules: seed, luck (from Stingy to Chaos), curses, shared or secret discoveries, rarity hints, cooldown length, starting powers, death penalty, PvP power theft, golden apples that cleanse curses, which powers are enabled, and the Final Dragon (Vanilla, Empowered or Brutal). Reopen the screen at any time with /foodpowers settings.
Multiplayer
Everyone earns their own powers by eating. The mod must be installed on the server and on every player's game. A player without the mod gets a clear message explaining what to install.
Languages
English by default, French included. Each player picks the mod's language in the guide or the settings, whatever the game's language.
Installation
- Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.3.
- Put Fabric API and this mod in your
modsfolder. - Launch the game: a guide explains everything when you join your first world.
Servers need Java 25.
