Flux Foundry 0.6.0-beta.1 — Smart Logistics
Smart Logistics is here. Take control of your Item and Fluid networks with filters, priorities, Round-Robin routing, and Stockkeepers that automatically maintain target inventory levels.
Added
-
Item Filters
-
Nine configurable ghost-filter entries
-
Whitelist and blacklist modes
-
Configure filters on Extractor sources and individual destination connections
-
Empty filters permit all resources
-
Filter configuration does not consume or create real items
-
-
Fluid Filters
-
Nine configurable ghost-filter entries
-
Whitelist and blacklist modes
-
Source and destination filtering
-
Configure fluid identity without consuming the contained fluid
-
Water, Lava, Steam, and Exhaust Steam remain distinct resources
-
-
Destination Priority
-
Set individual destinations from −10 to +10
-
Higher-priority destinations receive resources first
-
Full, filtered, satisfied, or unavailable destinations automatically allow fallback
-
Partial acceptance sends the remainder to lower-priority destinations
-
-
Round-Robin Routing
-
Available for both Item and Fluid networks
-
Distributes successful transfers among equivalent destinations
-
Automatically skips full, filtered, unavailable, or satisfied destinations
-
Destinations automatically rejoin rotation when they become available again
-
-
Item Stockkeepers
-
Configure a destination to maintain a chosen amount of an Item
-
Supports targets up to 1,000,000 items
-
Transfers only the amount currently needed
-
Never removes excess inventory
-
-
Fluid Stockkeepers
-
Maintain a chosen amount of Water, Lava, Steam, or another compatible fluid
-
Supports targets up to 1,000,000 mB
-
Transfers only the current deficit
-
-
Smart Logistics Configuration
-
New local configuration interface
-
Server-authoritative settings
-
Persistent filters, priorities, routing modes, and Stockkeeper targets
-
Smart settings survive saves, chunk unloads, and server restarts
-
Improved Routing
Smart Logistics evaluates routing policy before committing resource movement:
Source Filter → Connectivity → Destination Filter → Stockkeeper Demand → Capability Acceptance → Priority → Distribution Mode → Transaction
This allows filters, priorities, Stockkeepers, and Round Robin to work together without bypassing existing sided inventory or fluid rules.
Performance
Smart Logistics retains Flux Foundry's cached logistics architecture.
-
Stable 10-, 100-, and branching Item/Fluid networks completed their observation windows with zero topology rebuilds or discovery work
-
Network discovery remains bounded to 4,096 visits per level per tick
-
A 200-tick Smart Logistics test with 16 Item and 16 Fluid destinations completed with zero topology rebuilds, discovery, endpoint refreshes, induced chunk loads, or chunk tickets
-
Stockkeeping examines only the configured destination rather than scanning the entire network
Compatibility
-
Existing 0.5.0-beta.1 worlds upgrade directly to 0.6.0-beta.1
-
Existing unconfigured logistics automatically retain permissive behavior:
-
no filtering
-
priority 0
-
existing Balanced routing
-
no Stockkeeper restriction
-
-
Existing Item/Fluid Pipes, Extractors, machines, power systems, Steam systems, and upgrades remain compatible.
-
Uses standard NeoForge Item, Fluid, and FE capabilities
-
JEI remains optional
-
No additional technology mod is required
Steam Age Compatibility
The complete Steam power cycle remains unchanged:
1,000 mB Water → 1,000 mB Steam → 4,000 FE gross → 950 mB recovered Water + 50 mB makeup → 25 FE Pump cost → 3,975 FE net
before Boiler fuel economics.

-
One Stockkeeper target per destination connection
-
Stockkeeping conservatively pauses for inventory/tank views exposing more than 4,096 slots/tanks
-
Compact English-only configuration controls
-
No request terminal yet
-
No network-wide inventory search
-
No autocrafting
-
No digital storage
-
No wireless logistics
-
No chunk loading
Requires Minecraft 26.3, NeoForge 26.3.0.33-beta, and Java 25.
