Looking for weekly versions?
Publishing a mod to CurseForge does, unfortunately, involve a lot of manual work. For this reason, starting with 21w03a, I'll only publish weekly versions on Modrinth, where publishing a version is just one button click for me. You can find weekly versions for all my mods on https://modrinth.com/mods?q=Giselbaer&s=downloads. Versions for official MC versions will still be published here.
Mod description
When you're Elytra flying, you probably want to maintain your pitch to get the maximum distance, or flight time, from your rockets. And while firing a rocket you want to have a pitch that leads you straight up. This mod helps with that:
- Press the Numpad 8 key to lock your pitch to "up" while using fireworks - -55 degrees normally, but changable in config
- Press the Numpad 2 key to lock your pitch to "glide" - 2.2 degrees normally, but changeable as well
- Press Numpad 5 to unlock your pitch again
While the pitch is locked, you can turn around as much as you want to without accidentially changing your pitch.
To make sure the mod doesn't slow down your minecraft, it has been optimized using jprofiler (https://www.ej-technologies.com/products/jprofiler/overview.html).
The ability to lock a heading, or perhaps something that fires rockets automatically until you reach a desired height.
Can this be updated to 1.16.3?
The 1.16.2 version works with 1.16.3 as well.
This is a neat mod and does exactly what it says.
I was hoping that this mod would allow one to actually look down without moving down. Perhaps the game doesn't allow for that.
I play on a server with a very limited viewing distance so being able to look down would be helpful.
In reply to xios42:
I don't believe that's possible, as looking down will make your pitch change causing you to go down.
When I try to launch this with Forge 31.1.0+ I get the error "File flighthelper-1.15-fabric0.423-1.2.jar is for an older version of Forge and cannot be loaded".
What do I need to do to resolve this?
In reply to xios42:
Only the 1.12 version is for Forge. The 1.14 and 1.15 versions are for Fabric, they won't work with Forge.
In reply to thorgeig:
Thank you. I didn't even know about Fabric before.
Hey I have this installed in 1.15 but I can't change the keybindings and my computer doesn't have a numpad. How do I change the keybindings to the arrow keys instead?
In reply to shadeinthestars:
The key bindings for FlightHelper should be visible in Options/Controls. like this:
In reply to thorgeig:
they are not visible there at all
In reply to shadeinthestars:
You are using this with Fabric, aren't you? The mod won't work with Forge (not past 1.12, at least).
Could you upload a the log to pastebin or similar?
Hello, I'm using Chocohead fork of Rift with the 1.13.2 version of this mod, but it seems like it's crashing when I launch the game.
Here's the crash log: https://pastebin.com/UvGyvA2R
Not sure if it's this mod's fault, but I don't have any crash when I remove it.
Thank you :).
In reply to Forge_User_57303289:
Yes, it's the mod's fault, sorry about that. I suggested some additions to Rift that never got implemented, and I included them myself in most of my mods, but it seems I forgot to do this in Flighthelper. Unfortunately, I don't have the Rift build environment any more, so I can't even post a fixed version.
May I suggest you install my DurabilityViewer mod, or my Grid mod, as well? They have the stuff that's missing from FlightHelper so installing either of them will make FlightHelper work. You can hide the DurabilityViewer GUI using the h key, and Grid doesn't show anything unless you tell it to, so they shouldn't bother you too much,
How do I edit the the keys?
In reply to itsthewolfy:
How install on 1.13
In reply to Bosnian_Mountain:
