Flexytra

Flexytra is a Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 utility and mobility mod by MineGamer that adds a craftable alternative to the vanilla Elytra while preserving familiar flight mechanics. The Flexytra behaves like an Elytra and can be used for gliding and Firework Rocket-powered flight. It is crafted using Feathers, Wool, and a Lead, without introducing custom rocket items or unnecessary gameplay systems. Features Craftable Flexytra Shaped crafting recipe using vanilla materials. No additional crafting ingredients or custom progression system. Elytra-style flight Uses Minecraft's Elytra flight behavior. Can be worn and used for gliding. Flight can be globally enabled or disabled through configuration. Firework Rocket boosting Supports normal vanilla Firework Rockets. No custom rocket item is required. Rocket boosters are controlled through an item tag, allowing compatible extensions. Configurable dimensions Separate controls for: Overworld Nether End Modded/custom dimensions Custom dimensions are enabled by default to improve compatibility with modded worlds. Rocket boost protection Includes configurable boost-frequency protection. Helps prevent excessive repeated boost processing while retaining normal rocket consumption. Flight-state API Provides an API for other mods to inspect Flexytra flight state. Includes states such as gliding, boosting, grounded, airborne, landing, and broken. Provides flight start/stop and boost-related events. Server-authoritative configuration Gameplay settings are controlled server-side. This allows multiplayer servers to control the Flexytra experience consistently for connected players. Forge networking Includes client feedback networking for rocket boost activity. Compatibility-focused design Extends Minecraft's existing Elytra system instead of replacing the flight system entirely. Uses vanilla Firework Rockets.
