TaCZ Field Kit
A first aid kit you actually use with your hands, plus a Beretta 80X to go with it. Made to sit next to Timeless and Classics Zero, but it runs fine on its own.
How the medkit works
Right-click the Field Medkit and your character pulls it up and opens it. Your left hand holds the kit, and your right hand follows your mouse. Point at something in the kit and it lifts up a little and tells you what it does and how long the cooldown is. Click it and you grab it.
For most things you set the kit down on the ground, use the item, then crouch down and pick the kit back up before putting the item back in its slot. Nothing gets used up. Every item has its own cooldown instead, so you can't spam the morphine.
What's in it
Main compartments:
- Bandage: wrap your forearm. Heals 3 hearts, stops poison.
- Adrenaline: flick the air out, then stab it into your arm. Speed II, Strength and Absorption for 30 seconds.
- Morphine: lift your leg and drive it into your thigh. Resistance II and Regeneration, but you'll feel it.
- Painkillers: rattle the bottle, tip your head back. Regeneration and clears nausea.
- Antidote pills: pop two out of the pack. Cures poison, wither, hunger and weakness.
- Band-aid: peel it, stick it, smooth it down. Small heal.
- Eye drops: head back, two drops. Cures blindness and darkness, gives night vision.
On the lid:
- Stim pen: quick thigh jab. Jump Boost II and Haste.
- Thermometer: tells you your health and hunger.
- Trauma shears: if you've been shot in the last minute (arrows or TaCZ bullets), you cut the clothing away and treat the wound properly. Big heal and Regeneration II. If you haven't been shot, there's nothing to cut.
- Gauze pad, medical tape, vitamin shot and a cold pack for burns.
Beretta 80X Cheetah
A .380 with a 13 round mag. Right-click to fire, R to reload, G to inspect. Both keys can be changed in Controls.
Both hands stay on the gun. The slide moves on every shot, casings eject to the right, and the slide locks back on the last round. Reloading drops the empty mag, grabs a new one off your belt, and racks the slide if you ran it dry. It also sways when you turn, bobs when you walk, and drops when you sprint.
Other bits
- You can see your own arms, body and legs in first person. Your arms bend at the elbow and use your skin.
- There are some extra items in the creative tab (bandage, syringes, rations, canteen, energy drink). They work on their own without the kit, each with its own animation.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47 or newer. It needs to be on the server as well, since it adds items. TaCZ is optional.
Known issues
- You can't walk while the kit is open, because the mouse is busy picking meds.
- Reload sounds only play for the person reloading. The gunshot plays for everyone.
- The arms are still Minecraft arms, so no fingers.
