gryphonexpansion-1.0.6.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Performance
- Fixed heavy server lag from the wild Gryphon spawner. Every 10 seconds it could force-load or generate a chunk around a distant Gryphon Nest, freezing the server tick. Nests are now only checked in chunks where mobs are already active.
- Gryphons looking for a perch no longer force-load chunks either.
Gryph-Hounds
- New companion: a wolf-sized, eagle-headed hound that follows you and warns you of danger. It comes in 8 coat variants.
- Gryph-Hound Egg: crafted at the Aether Altar from a Wolf Fang, Gryphon Claw, Gryphon Feather, Stalker Eye and Aetheric Crystal (needs Houndmaster rank 5). The egg hatches only on Gryphon Nest Thatch.
- New drops: Wolf Fang (35% from wolves), Stalker Eye (25% from Necrotic Stalkers). Both only drop when a player gets the kill.
- Gryph-Hounds can be tamed with bones or any meat (always succeeds in Creative). They don't breed and don't spawn in the wild.
- New "Pack" skill tab: Houndmaster, Sentry's Vigil, Packbond, Blightscent.
New Iskaryl
- Rift Tailmouth: Iskaryl, spawns in the Crystal Rift. Inside a Rift wound it slowly turns into a Necrotic Stalker.
- Necrotic Stalker: now spawns naturally in the Crystal Rift. New model and variants (Bony, Crystal).
- Necrotic Gryphon and Necrotic Gryphon Stalker: Iskaryl gryphons that spawn in the Crystal Rift and during Well events. They glide down instead of taking fall damage.
- Hollow Tailmouth: hostile but not Iskaryl. Rare, spawns in any Overworld biome, day or night, and climbs out of the ground.
- Toxic Tailmouth: uncommon and neutral. It spawns like an animal, fights back when hit, and hunts Hollow Tailmouths.
- Novrim: a peaceful seraph Tailmouth that hunts corrupted creatures and never attacks players.
- Tailmouth-type mobs have a special tail bite that causes Wither and Rift exposure. Rift mobs play "emerge" animations when they spawn.
Iskaran Wells
- 9 Iskaran Wells generate on dry land in rings across the Overworld.
- A Novrim can be found near a Well; talk to it (new dialog screen). Escort it to the Well and protect it through a 6-wave Iskaryl ritual. During the ritual the world turns to night, lightning flashes, wisps circle the Well and a dedicated music track plays.
- Success cleanses the Well and gives every participant an Obelisk Shard.
- Failure makes the Well fall, and Rift corruption spreads up to 32 blocks around it.
- Cleansed Wells are besieged every 2–4 in-game days. Defend the core's integrity bar to earn another Obelisk Shard.
- Fallen Wells can be reclaimed after 4 in-game days. A successful reclaim slowly reverts the corrupted land.
Novrim Form
- Use Novrim's Blessing to unlock the ability to transform into a Novrim (G by default).
- New skill Novrim Mastery in the new Iskaryl tab
- Purifying Pulse (rank B): a Warden-style shockwave in every direction that hits all Iskaryl within 6 blocks. It has its own key (R by default) and a 30-second cooldown.
- In Novrim Form your attacks reduce the Iskaryl's damage resistance from 95% to 50%.
- While transformed you can use items and blocks normally, and you get night vision in the Crystal Rift.
Gryphons, Hippogryphs & Demigryphs
- Many random coat variants: 14 Gryphon, 13 Hippogryph, 13 Demigryph.
- New running, sleeping and attack animations.
- 15% of natural spawns are babies. Using a spawn egg on an adult creates a baby.
Bug-Fixes
- Text was invisible in the Skill screen, the Gryphon Pen and container titles (Aether Altar, Alchemy Belt, Alchemy Table, Forge, Workbench, Nest).
- Fixed a crash when opening the Gryph-Hound codex page.
- Fixed a crash when pressing the Novrim Form key.
- Codex: added a Novrim Mastery page and corrected the Gryph-Hound page.
- Gryph-Hounds, Novrims, Tailmouths and Necrotic mobs now turn their heads toward where they're looking.
- Removed the Aether Cylinder charge bar from the HUD.
