Feathers & Winds v1.0.0 — Initial Release

This is the first public release of Feathers & Winds (formerly "Gryphon Expansion"). Everything below is new. Requires Curios and GeckoLib (JEI recommended for recipe browsing).

✨ Mounts

• Gryphon — the mod's core companion mount. Fully custom animated (GeckoLib) 3D model, hatches from an egg you find or breed, and grows through a deep trust/hunger/leveling system:
  • Trust and hunger economy, gear slots (saddle/harness/saddlebag + a dedicated Runestone slot), leveling to 50 with scaling health bonuses.
  • 7 bonding minigames (Talon Sharpening, Advanced Wing Preening, Lion Body Brushing, Gryphon Song, Nest Arrangement, Wing Joint Stretch, Trust-Building Belly Rub), playable once/day per gryphon for trust and rewards.
  • Stats & Growth system: hidden Nature (20 personality types), 10 Abilities, and 5 growth stats (Strength/Agility/Intellect/Vitality/Will) that level up through actual play — fighting, flying, feeding, minigames.
  • Moodles: distrust, fatigue, exhaustion and depression states with a real (rare) risk of a neglected gryphon fleeing forever — take care of your mount.
  • Orders: Follow, Defend, Help Mining, Fetch, Guard, and Escort commands.
  • Wound-tending system: per-limb bleeding, fractures, shrapnel and poison, treated with dedicated minigames (Dressing, Shrapnel-pull, Serum Injection) and a Filled Syringe item.
  • Full ridden and autonomous flight physics — momentum-based ridden flight with hold-altitude control, and unridden gryphons take off, hover, and land on their own.
  • Tabbed in-game UI: Gear, Stats (with a radar chart), and Wounds tabs.
• Hippogryph — a rare, wild-tamed flying mount (bound with a craftable Binding Bridle, refined into Masterwork and Golden tiers). The fastest flier of the three mounts, and the only one besides the Gryphon that can equip Runestones. Breeds with itself or crosses with a Gryphon + Horse.
• Demigryph — a fully domesticated, ground-only war-beast bred from Hippogryph + Horse in the Gryphon Pen. Best raw melee/tank stats of the three mounts, deployable in numbers, with a variant-breeding system (Pedigree Seal) for inheriting quality between parents.
• All three mounts have real GeckoLib-animated models and textures.

⚔️ Combat & Weapons

• Gryphon — pure ranged magic: the Aether Cylinder (charged elemental-crystal projectile weapon) and Guard Cylinder (a real vanilla-shield-based defensive item that also boosts cylinder damage).
• Demigryph Arms — Lance and Halberd, built around a momentum charge meter you build up by riding at speed; full-charge Lance hits land a bonus damage/knockback burst, the Halberd always cleaves a wide arc.
• Hippogryph Runeblade — a melee weapon that channels the mount's equipped Runestone through hits, plus a dive-strike bonus and a hold-to-charge Hover Burst AoE.
• 24 Aetheric Runestones — a dedicated Gryphon/Hippogryph gear slot with passive auras and reactive combat effects (damage reflection, elemental resistances, drop/XP bonuses, and more), obtainable from the Aether Altar's gamble ritual.
• 5 Alchemical Catalysts (Lich, Blooming, Inferno, Storm, Bitterfrost) — advanced Aether Cylinder ammo alongside the 4 base elements (Fire/Water/Earth/Wind), summoning a raised undead minion, a healing bloom, a falling meteor strike, chained lightning, or a localized blizzard.

🧪 Alchemy & Progression

• Alchemy Table — Synthesis (combine ingredients) and Fragmentation (break items down) crafting, with skill-boosted success/yield chances.
• Four Elements — Fire/Water/Earth/Wind Essences (rare mob drops) refined into Elemental Crystals, the ammo for the Aether Cylinder.
• Alchemy Belt (Curios-based) — dedicated ammo/reagent storage with a hotkey to open it and a hotkey to cycle your selected element.
• Skill system — an Ability Point economy (earned from gryphon leveling) spent across two branches, Gryphon Alchemy (Transmutation, Synthesis, Fragmentation, Attunement) and Gryphon Mastery (Cylinder Proficiency, Mounted Combat, Soul Bound, Gryphoneer, plus the Demigryph/Hippogryph combat skills), each with 15 Mabinogi-style ranks and its own dedicated UI screen.
• Gryphoneer villager profession — a real workstation-driven profession (job-site block + trades) for buying/selling alchemy gear and reagents.

⛏️ Blocks & Stations

• Gryphoneer Workbench and Gryphoneer Forge — dedicated crafting/smelting multiblocks; the Forge runs two independent smelting slots off one shared fuel bar, plus a special ingot-combination recipe.
• Alchemy Table, Aether Altar, Gryphon Nest, Gryphon Incubator (with a visible egg and manual hatch-on-click), and Gryphon Pen (registers gryphons/horses for breeding, defense, and buffs) — all GeckoLib-animated multiblocks.
• Gryphoneer Table — the Gryphoneer villager's job-site block.
• All new functional blocks require an iron pickaxe or better to harvest.

⛰️ World Generation

• Gryphon Highlands — white/gray mountain-fantasy biome with glowing crystal veins, floating stone platforms, ancient ruins, gryphon nests, and a mesa/terracotta canyon zone.
• Crystal Rift — a darker, crystal-obelisk biome with ambient lightning strikes and its own hostile mobs.
• Cinderspring Basin — a geothermal geyser/crystal-formation biome.
• Sunken Ruin — a large procedurally-branching underground labyrinth (Stronghold-style generation) with hostile spawners and treasure rooms, carved into the Highlands' mountainsides.
• Gryphoneer Outpost — a real village building (forge/workshop + open-air aerie loft with a Gryphon Nest) that can generate in any vanilla village.
• New ore/material chains: Mythril, Amber, Cinnabar, Agate, Silver, Lead, Novulite, and Stabilized Aether, each with a full dust↔nugget↔ingot/gem↔block progression.

👹 New Mobs

• Iskaryl — Crystal Rift-exclusive hostile mobs (Rift Tailmouth, Necrotic Stalker) with a Necrosis exposure mechanic and near-total resistance to conventional damage — the Aether Cylinder is their one real weakness.
• Lich Minion and Meteor — summoned by the Lich and Inferno Catalysts respectively.
• Gryphoneer villager profession (see above).

🎒 Items & Gear

• Gryphon Treats (meat/fruit/fish), Gryphon Command Staff (recall your mount), Gryphon Shears, Amulet, and Saddlebag random-find loot.
• Binding Bridle tiers, Bestiary Page, Bloodline Ledger, Grafting Catalyst/Harness tiers, Pedigree Seal, and Growth Draught for Hippogryph/Demigryph husbandry.
• A full set of advancements tracking taming, crafting, exploration, and leveling milestones.
