FearMimic — v1.2.1 Update

👁️ New: Configurable Herobrine-Style Stalking

FearMimic now includes a fully configurable stalking system inspired by classic Herobrine encounters. Server owners and players can choose how intense the experience should be—no rebuild required.

🧠 Stalking Modes (New Config)

Select the stalking style in config/fearmimic-common.toml:

  • SUBTLE — Rare sightings at long distances; quick vanish when noticed.

  • AGGRESSIVE — Frequent appearances, closer proximity, bolder behavior.

  • ESCALATING — Starts subtle and ramps up over time per player.

stalkingMode = "ESCALATING"

⚙️ Additional Controls

Fine-tune the experience with optional settings:

  • Enable/disable stalking entirely

  • Min/max stalking distance

  • Reappearance delay ranges

  • Reaction when seen (vanish, flee, walk away, freeze then vanish)

  • Ambient actions (fake mining, torch placement)

  • Escalation level caps

🛠 Stability & Polish

  • Maintains renderer stability (no player model/armor crashes)

  • Multiplayer-safe behavior

  • CurseForge-ready project structure

🔜 What’s Next

  • Deeper stalking escalation (memory & decay)

  • Smarter ambient actions

  • Optional fake chat / environmental cues
