🕵️ Fear Mimic
Fear Mimic adds unsettling, player-like entities to Minecraft that behave almost exactly like real players… until you notice something is off.
These mimics use player models, perform believable actions like mining and block placing, and flee when they realize they’ve been seen — creating paranoia-driven encounters that feel too real.
👁️ What Fear Mimics Do
-
Imitate real players
Mimics look and move like normal players, using the same proportions and animations. -
Fake player behavior
They mine blocks, place blocks, wander naturally, and watch their surroundings. -
Flee when spotted
If a real player looks directly at them, they panic and run — often vanishing into the environment. -
Horror-focused AI
Mimics may stop and stare, act cautiously, or behave unnervingly rather than like standard mobs. -
Multiplayer safe
Works on both client and dedicated servers, making it ideal for SMPs, horror modpacks, or role-play servers.
⚙️ Configuration
Fear Mimic includes configurable options such as:
-
Detection range
-
Behavior intensity
-
Spawn logic (future expansion ready)
(Found in the config folder after first launch.)
🧠 Why This Mod Exists
Fear Mimic isn’t about combat — it’s about uncertainty.
You’re never sure if that “player” you saw:
-
Logged off
-
Walked away
-
Or was never a real player at all
Perfect for:
-
Horror modpacks
-
Paranoia-themed servers
-
Story-driven SMPs
-
Late-night solo survival 😈
