Fantasy Mounts 2.0.0
Fantasy Mounts is back, rebuilt from the ground up: 22 mounts with quests, skill trees and their own lives in the wild, on Forge, NeoForge, Fabric and Quilt, from Minecraft 1.20.1 to 26.3.
New mounts
- Doom Horse: a charred Nether war horse with an ember mane that strides over lava and charges in flames.
- Pegasus: the classic winged horse: it gallops like a horse, then spreads its wings and takes to the sky.
- Giant Spider: a huge bone-saddled spider that climbs walls and ceilings and sprays webs that hold its prey.
- War Mammoth: the five-seat flagship: a woolly mammoth with a howdah, an archer seat, saddlebags and a ground-shaking stomp.
- Dragon Turtle: a coral-shelled ocean ferry for four that surges through the deep.
- Frost Sabrecat: a white sabre-toothed cat: a silent, agile hunter for one that pounces and frosts the ground.
- Phoenix: a great fiery bird for three riders. Lose it, and it is reborn from its egg.
- Crystal Stag: an amethyst-antlered stag from the End that blinks forward in a flash.
- Griffin: eagle in front, lion behind: a soaring griffin that dives on its prey from high above.
- Qilin: it leaps twice more in mid-air, leaving a trail of clouds from its hooves.
- Luna Moth: a great moth that flies only under the moon, scattering dust that slows and lights up monsters.
- Kitsune: a many-tailed fox spirit that throws burning foxfire and veils its riders in invisibility.
- Moonwolf: a dire wolf whose howl fills its riders with speed and strength.
- Mossback Treant: a walking tree that mends in the sun and calls up roots that hold the monsters around it.
- Tide Narwhal: a cold-sea narwhal that rams tusk first through the water; its riders breathe, see and mine as by a conduit.
- Sky Whale: the biggest mount: a gentle whale that swims through the sky as surely as the sea, six riders on its deck.
- Emerald Dragonfly: the fastest flyer of all: quick to turn, quick to climb, and it darts ahead in a blink.
- Warhorn Rhino: a war rhino with archers in its howdah and a horn charge that flattens whatever stands in front.
- Jackalope: a horned hare with huge bounds, a second jump in mid-air, and Jump Boost for its riders.
- Nimbus Ram: a ram on a cloud fleece that floats up to six blocks above the ground and rains on crops to grow them.
Changes
- Rebuilt from the ground up, for Forge, NeoForge, Fabric and Quilt, on Minecraft 1.20.1 to 26.3.
- The Unicorn and the Polar Bear return, rebuilt like every other mount.
- Every mount has its own way of moving, its own abilities and coats, and a rare shiny form to sight in the wild.
- Room for up to six riders, who move with their mount as it walks, gallops and flies.
- Mount levels and skill trees up to level 30: pick your skills, learn them all at once, and change them later.
- Quests from Professor Thornquill for most mounts, with the Field Journal and a quest tracker that points the way.
- The Riders Encyclopedia: every mount you come across, how it lives and how to tame it, and a Ribbon of Mastery for each kind you raise to its highest level.
- The Mount Whistle: dye it, and see which mount it calls and where that mount is.
- Untamed mounts live their lives in the wild: grazing, roosting, hunting, gathering in herds, and some keep their distance from people.
- Your mount strikes at what you aim at, on your command.
- Four interface themes: Starlit Grimoire (the default), Overworld, Wildwood Lodge and Vanilla.
- The mod in 16 languages.
- Server owners can tune every part of the mod, and can have players earn their mounts through quests.
- Built and tested for servers with many players, as well as single player.
- The game tells you when a newer Fantasy Mounts is out (you can turn this off in its settings).
- New mounts arrive on Fridays. Trailblazers on patreon.com/fantasymounts playtest each month's mounts before they come out free for everyone.
