# Extended Mining Tiers - Jade Compat

Extended Mining Tiers - Jade Compat is a Minecraft Forge addon that improves Jade's harvest tool display for mods with custom mining tiers.

Some mods implement mining levels beyond Diamond or Netherite through custom item and block tags. Jade may not recognize these custom rules and can display an incorrect tool requirement. This addon provides a tag-driven compatibility layer that allows Jade to show the correct tools.

Terramity 0.9.8+ is supported by default, but Terramity is optional. Modpack developers can use data packs or KubeJS to add compatibility for other mods.

## Features

- Supports Netherite, Netherite +1, +2, and +3 mining tiers.
- Displays five compatible tools at a time.
- Automatically switches to the next group every 1.5 seconds.
- Loops through all compatible tools continuously.
- Shows a green check mark when the tool in the player's main hand can mine the targeted block.
- Supports pickaxes, hammers, drills, multitools, and other custom tools.
- Reads block requirements and compatible tools from data pack tags.
- Updates after KubeJS or data pack tag changes with `/reload`.
- Automatically removes duplicate tools from the display.
- Preserves Jade's normal harvest tool behavior for blocks that do not use extended mining tiers.
- Does not hardcode other mods in the Java implementation.

## Default Compatibility

The addon includes default compatibility data for Terramity 0.9.8+.

Terramity is an optional dependency. The addon can also be used without Terramity as a general compatibility layer for other mods and modpacks.

## Tag API

The following block and item tags are paired together:

| `terramity_jade_compat:needs_plus_three_tool` | `terramity_jade_compat:plus_three_tier` |

If a block appears in multiple requirement tags, the highest tier takes priority.

Every item in the matching tool tag is treated as a valid mining tool. The item does not need to extend Minecraft's standard `PickaxeItem` class.
