What's new

A bug-fix release. No worlds or configs need changing.

Crashes

  • Setting the infested leaves update frequency to 0 crashed the game on every load. The setting now starts at 1.
  • A strainer crashed the server if its minimum wait was set above its maximum.

Lost items

  • Hammering deepslate or a sulfur block by hand dropped nothing.
  • A Rustler killed by Thorns in the middle of its bite still took a stack, and the stack vanished with it.
  • A Rustler carrying loot was deleted, loot and all, when its chunk reloaded in Peaceful. It now drops the loot and leaves.
  • A stolen Totem of Undying was used up by the Rustler. Rustlers no longer take totems.
  • With the mob loot game rule off, killing a Rustler destroyed what it had stolen.
  • Witch water, brine and milk deleted torches, crops, rails and other small blocks they flowed over. They now drop.
  • Witch water above a waterlogged block (a slab, a chest, coral) replaced that block.
  • A mob changed by witch water lost its saddle and anything it had picked up.
  • An auto hammer placed on a sieve threw whole stacks out of the sieve.
  • A barrel full of compost could eat one extra item.

Barrels

  • Clicking a busy barrel no longer places the block in your hand next to it, or empties your bucket beside it.
  • A bucket that does not fit stays in your hand.
  • Milk can be taken out again with an empty bucket.
  • Other players now see when a barrel starts a slow recipe.
  • A barrel no longer freezes when a data pack removes the recipe it was working on.

Sieves and machines

  • A block now sifts in 10 clicks, not 11.
  • Fortune on a mesh now works: each drop is sometimes rolled more than once. This applies to the auto sieve too.
  • Haste no longer finishes a block in one click. Each level now adds as much as one level of Efficiency.
  • Empty sieves next to the one you click no longer play sounds or count as sifting.
  • With a hopper on top, leftover drops come out of the side instead of jamming that hopper.
  • The three machine advancements are part of the Machines data pack, like their recipes.

Crucibles

  • A crucible over a lava source gets the full heat (it got one point less).
  • An unlit campfire no longer heats a crucible.
  • Clients no longer keep melting after the heat source is removed.
  • The crucible Efficiency and Fire Aspect settings, and the barrel Efficiency setting, now do what they say.

Tools

  • A crook adds its drops to what the leaves drop anyway, so oak leaves can drop apples and other mods' leaves keep their saplings.
  • Hammers and crooks can take Unbreaking and Mending.
  • A partly used watering can refills at water instead of sprinkling the bank.
  • A clay bucket of water can waterlog slabs and stairs.
  • The sledgehammer respects spawn protection.
  • End portal frames can no longer be pushed by pistons.

Rustlers

  • Faster and steadier when running to a loose item, and it gives up on one it cannot reach.
  • No longer bounces forever across a gap one block wide.
  • Waits out an item's pickup delay, and leaves display items alone.
  • A Rustler carrying loot no longer counts against the monster cap.

World

  • Re-Create World keeps the world type of the world you copied.
  • New Sky Islands use the normal respawn radius. Digging up the starting block no longer sends bedless respawns into the void.
  • A new dedicated server sets spawn protection to 0 when it builds the island, so players who are not ops can build.
  • The starting tree is only built in a brand-new world.
  • Fruit trees grow through leaves and small plants, like vanilla trees.
  • A cat brought by the wandering trader no longer despawns.
  • Witch water turns fish into silverfish (it was the other way round).

Mod packs and servers

  • All seeds are always registered, so a player who switched one off can still join a server. The seed switches now only stop sieves from dropping them.
  • A wrong fluid id in a data pack recipe is reported for that recipe instead of failing the whole reload.
  • REI and RRV no longer leave out the last sieve drop on a full page.
  • Fixed the crucible heat text in recipe viewers, the advancement tab background and an empty "NBT required" tooltip.
